CHOOSE A RIGHT COMPRESSOR
| |
Choosing right compressor according the right demand is very important. When choosing an air compressor we often make the mistake of defining the need by specifying the compressor's brake horsepower, which is only related to how much energy your compressor will use, not how much air it will deliver. FOREWORD
|
Dear Reader,
Welcome to the first edition of our monthly e-communiqué. The last years have profoundly changed the way we interact with each other, walking in the street we often see people using mobile phones to text each other, browse internet, even read books and watch sports events, the pace of progress is exhilarating. In my marketing career I have witnessed the changes that occurred in printed and digital media over the last thirty years, those who fell out of pace with progress have long since vanished, some companies flourished by embracing change and by becoming the leading force in new reality.
DV Systems aims to lead the movement towards energy efficient solutions in compressed air technology, our new products are designed to provide customers with quiet, reliable and very efficient compressed air systems.
This month is very important to us, in addition to Communiqué we launch our new french language website, YouTube video channel, Flickr®Photostream with photographs of all of our products, DV blog, Twitter and Facebook accounts. These channels will provide you with most up-to-date information about new DV products and solutions, interacting with DV Systems was never easier, it is my sincere hope that you will let us know how to modify and improve those new channels.
Welcome aboard!

LEADERSHIP @ DV Systems

Hungry and Foolish
I was recently watching a video of Steve Job's 2005 commencement address to the graduating class of Stanford University. I would highly recommend listening to his speech (YouTube) as it has great insight into why we should always look forward with optimism and creativity and do what we love to do.
I related to his words as I look back on my 25 years in the air compressor industry and I can truly say that I love it and love what I do. I started right after graduating from Mechanical Engineering at the University of Western Ontario in 1985 taking a job at a company called Webster Curtiss Wright. Webster had a long history of it's own as a Canadian air compressor manufacturer, but it wasn't the product itself that I fell in love with, it was the creativity and "ownership" of being involved in the design and making of a working machine that was so useful and valuable to others. 25 years later, I can "connect the dots" as Job's says, of the choices and decisions that have brought me to where I am at DV Systems - still loving what I do.
Today at DV Systems I have immense pride in the products we have developed and manufacture and the people who make it all happen. From the legendary 447 Heavy Duty pump with a heritage of 75 years to the new and innovative Huron 10hp VSD rotary screw compressor I can see the skill, creativity and commitment of our people and our company. The exciting thing is - we are only just getting started.

PRODUCT OF THE MONTH : HURON B 10 VSD
|
Huron B 10 is a one-of-a-kind screw compressor, it enables customers without access to 3-phase electric power to run a 10 HP air compressor on an 80 Amp circuit. The revolutionary 10 HP Single Phase design increases compressor efficiency and is very quiet. Huron 10HP is equipped with a VSD controller which allows for a soft start ramp-up eliminating high start-up amp draw spike. VSD drive also continuously adjusts to actual demands eliminating over pressurization which allows you to save on energy. Huron 10 HP Rotary Screw Compressor is direct driven and has a very low cost of ownership. More Details

NEW ACCESSORY LAUNCH: "ZERO LOSS" AUTODRAIN"
|
 The receiver
of your compressor will come equipped with a manual drain valve located
at the lowest spot of the air tank. In order to keep free water from
accumulating inside the receiver, this manual drain should be opened at
least once a day to allow the tank to drain completely. "Zero Loss" AutoDrain 'KK-9860' will replace these manual drains to facilitate an automatic drainage.
Some of the key features that DV "Zero Loss" AutoDrain 'KK-9860' will facilitate are:
- No Loss of Compressed air
- Continually measures the presence of condensate
- Non-corrosive housing
- Compact Design
- Two-way input connection port
- Warning LED light
