 It wasn't long after "Breaking Free from the spirit of death" was first published back in 2002... Jonathan Hunter ...that it was being used in a prayer group book-study format amongst friends. Taking our cues from their suggestions, a formal pilot program was begun and a leader's guide was developed to be used in conjunction with Breaking Free... Those groups are now called More Life! The introduction on page four of the ML! leader's guide gives a good overview:
More Life! equips Christians to effectively identify and confront destructive influences in their lives. More Life! groups facilitate victorious living in the face of the variuos manifestations of death. Even a "mountain" of sorrow and personal challenges can be removed with a "mustard seed" of faith through the resurrection life of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit that indwells every Christian. It is this faith that we are teaching participants to activate and exercise on an ongoing basis. The result: one is liberated from dominating, detrimental influences and free for more abundant living in Christ
Today, Breaking Free...from the spirit of death is available in eight languages and the accompanying More Life! leader's guide in four....and counting. We've held equipping seminars and trainings in seven countries and various cities throughout the U.S.
Jesus said "the last enemy to be destroyed is death." Thus, the relevance and need for More Life! groups will remain with us for quite some time! If you or your church is interested in introducing this material to your faith community, please contact us by email or phone. We offer different options on how the teaching and ministry times are presented, adapting them to your format.

About More Life!  Each of the 8 sessions in More Life! have the same components: worship, teaching, group interaction and prayer. If done on a weekly basis, each session lasts about two hours. Below is a brief description of the focus of each session:
- What in your life history until now indicates that you have been under the influence of the spirit of death?
- Defining the spirit of death and noting it's mention in scripture. Reflection on the 23rd Psalm as a descriptive metaphor for the spirit of death experience in a believer's life.
- Identifying those ways of thinking and responding that have inhibited us from living a more authoritative Christian life. Acknowledging that by engaging our will, we can participate with the Lord in dismantling our decaying "house of thoughts".
- Renouncing curses, vows and pronouncements that contribute to deadly perceptions; praying for God's words of encouragement and Life to replace them.
- Examining our motivations for the career, ministry and relationship choices we've made thus far.
- Rooting out faulty theology and making a commitment to exercising Christ's authority and power over the spirit of death and it's influences as they appear.
- Our need to renounce the spirit of death repeatedly and to engage with others in praying against it whenever it manifests.
- Communicating a picture of what transpires in the prayer of renunciation - Jesus evicting the money changers. Prayer for renouncing the spirit of death. Reviewing what the Lord has done and what it takes to stay free.
