"BIG FISH ON"
Hot Striper Fishing on Lanier! |
|
The striper bite is still very good! Don't miss this GREAT late summer time action.
Remember, stripers are very sensitive to water temperature and live in the deep cold water on the south end of the lake during the summer. Consequently they are less affected by the heat and bright sunshine during the summer months and will often bite all day.
The summer time pattern is in full force and all of the summer time techniques are working. Live bait fishing with Blue Back Herring and trolling with lead core line, downriggers and umbrella rigs are producing some good numbers of quality stripers as you can see in just a few of the many pictures we have taken this month.
September is a great time for an afternoon fishing trip. The summer time lake traffic is greatly reduced and the afternoon/early evening temperatures are pleasant. Best of all the afternoon bite is strong during the month of September. September is a great time for that after school fishing trip with your son or daughter.
