"BIG FISH ON" Fishing Report & News |
|
Fishing is picking up! The cooler weather has released the fish from the depths, where low oxygen content had slowed the fishing down some.
This time of year the big stripers will start to move up on the north end of Lanier and will begin to school up in the main creeks, following large schools of bait as they feed up for the upcoming winter. Some of the largest fish of the year are caught in December.
If you have friends or family coming in for the holidays, a day on the lake is a good way to enjoy some quality time during what can be a stressful and busy season.
Don't forget our gift certificates, a quick and easy way to purchase a perfect and unique gift for the sportsman you know.

On a side note, Capt. Mike and his "BIG FISH ON" Team won the 2011 SBCC National Championship on OCT 29th and 30th. We were blessed to boat a good mid 20's fish each day, along with a nice mid teen kicker! We competed against some of the best striper fishermen in the South East, with competitors from Arkanas, TN, SC, NC and GA.
