It is hard to believe that May is almost over, the children are out of school and the lake temperatures are in the mid 70's. Fishing has been very good and we are expecting it to only get better. We are catching some good numbers of fish with herring on free lines and down rods. The umbrella bite has also been very productive in getting that reaction bite when the stripers will not eat live bait. The stripers will start moving south this month and the down rod bite will improve as the fish start to school up in the mouths of the creeks and the river channel.  We have already put our tops on our boats which provides some welcome shade as the days continue to heat up and the Georgia sun gets hotter. Summer time is here and it's time to go fishing!
