| Greetings!
Spring's truly here! And summer's just around the corner. Don't you love these long days and all the sunshine?
With Spring have come lots of new beginnings (and time just flew by): we had a lovely Open House at the end of March at 2615 Ashby Ave. Thank you all for coming and celebrating with us.
Furthermore, as you might have noticed, I got myself some help with sprucing up my emails (you like it?).
And last, but not least: I just moved into a different, bigger room at 2615 Ashby Ave. Same address, same building, same floor, just a different room. Stay tuned for more details on an Open House to celebrate my new office space.
I look forward to seeing you soon! |

Innovative Solutions to Improve Your Health and Overall Well-Being
The Benefits of Stretching... How do you stretch those tight calves?
By Rosie Liebe
The calves - as you might know from your own experience - can get extremely tight and cause discomfort or even pain. Those of you who have experienced plantar fasciitis - for example -know what I am talking about.
Runners |
So how do you effectively stretch out those calves? I highly recommend the following using the Active Isolated Stretching approach:
- sit on the floor with your legs straight in front of you
- to stretch the right calf, put a rope, yoga strap or a towel around the ball of the right foot
- using your shin muscles, pull the right foot up towards you (this is the active part)
- at the end of the range of that movement, increase the stretch of the calf by gently pulling with the rope or similar
- hold for 2 - 3 seconds (one-one-thousand, two-one-thousand...)
- release
- repeat 10 - 12 times
- then stretch the other calf the same way
Note: when you keep your knee straight, the stretch focuses on the gastrocnemicus muscles; when you bend your knee up just a bit, you will also get the soleus muscle. Find out more... |

I have been in Rebecca's care for several months now and I can highly recommend her. Rebecca has an amazing touch, very reassuring, very delicate. The placement of the needles was painless and highly effective. I felt my body relax, and the experience continued on throughout the rest of the day. Rebecca's treatments are now part of my monthly wellness regime. Her rates are very reasonable, and s
