Have you noticed the sparkly candle flames on our Birthday Cake?

The Birthday Bash BBQ is only 2 days away. If you haven't yet signed up, we would still love to see you there, but please register right away by bringing a check and the attached form to Jennifer Busick or by going online here.

Summer is around the corner and your child will be missing 2 1/2 months of learing. I am interested in tutoring your child in math or science to prepare them for the next school year. I have been teaching in the Jr.II classroom for the last 4 years and I have an Engineering degree. Math and science are my strong suits. I am confident that I can help your child in these subjects. Please contact me if you would like to hear more about what I can offer your K-12 child. I can meet either at your house or mine. Please call with any questions or to set up an appointment.

Dear SFMS Families,
Wow! It is so hard to believe that we are one week away from the end of another school year. Summer sessions begin on June 20 and before you know it, the first day of school will be upon us. We have attached the 2011/2012 academic calendar for your information. Please let us know if you have any questions.
If you have not re-enrolled for the 2011/2012 school year, please do so as soon as possible.
The new air conditioners have been installed and all is ready for a hot summer! We would like to thank the Hand and Richards families for their help in getting all 5 Children's House classrooms air conditioning.

A Thank you from Haiti

Dear SFMS Families,
I want to say thank you to the families of Santa Fe Montessori for your generosity and interest in helping the people of Haiti! Contributions from the school totaled over $500 and paid for 4 complete birth packs for the birth attendants within the Dessables Cooperative. I had to bring 4 bags to Haiti with me, holding the items donated by families. There was so much donated, that I could not bring it all on this trip. One bag went back to Massachusetts with my parents and down to Haiti last week. The remaining two bags will go down in September. All donations are as follows:

Parents' Association News
Many thanks to Leslie Schneider and Alison Lee for hosting a jewelry party to fund raise for the SFMS PA. These ladies were able to raise $384 for the Parents' Association. This money will be added to the BBQ total to be divided amongst the classrooms. We will have a few pieces from the Elisa Snyderman collection for you to bid on at the Birthday Bash BBQ during the Silent Auction.
