I went to Haiti convinced I was going to "help" women of a land ravaged by poverty and by the earthquake. I went with my heart full of love and I came back richer! What I received from these beautiful Haitian women is not measurable. I do not remember the precise rhythms of work, because if it was not in the clinic with helping

the mothers with their pregnancies and birth, I was in the garden to clean and prune the plants or to help dig the steps or prepare the Mother Boxes with the supplies for mothers and babies. Clare has taught me that 3 hours of sleep may be

enough. Living in the house where we share food and space is where  I received the true deep connection with these fabulous women. My  experience is so LARGE is difficult to summarize in a short paragraph but the love that this has generated in me has been a real turning point that has lead me to bring back this experience and share it with the women of Sicily.  I sincerely thank each and every Haitian woman I met. They showered me with the gift of love in their beautiful Haitian way!
