Massage - whether it is a chair or a full-body table massage - is not just a pleasant experience - it is an investment in your overall health and wellbeing. Many businesses and organizations in southwest Michigan are recognizing the value of keeping employees healthy, motivated and energized by offering massage in the workplace. Check with your employer to see they offer chair massage - or if they would be interested in talking to us about developing a customized program for their business. Also - did you know that your health insurance may cover massage? Check with your benefits administrator or health care provider to find out more. Both chair and table massages are offered at either SolSpring location - the KL Avenue facility or at the Bronson Athletic Club. Being healthy never felt so good!

 Words from Kate SolSpring Assistant Manager "Transitions" September brings cooler weather, shorter days and a return to school for children and many adults. The "lazy days" of summer are over. Most of us return to a fully-packed and fast-paced schedule. It is a time of transition, which is a "process or period of change." As we all know, change is a fact of life, but it may be scary. It often brings a sense of the unknown. Usually there is a feeling of loss, as some things are left behind. It can be challenging for our spirits, souls and bodies. I am personally experiencing a happy transition - preparing for my wedding, which will take place next year in the same park where my parents were married 35 years ago. I am discovering that even planned, happy events are accompanied by a certain amount of stress. It is important to take good care of yourself during times of transition and change. How do I do this? I am making an effort to spend more time with friends and family, to eat a healthier diet, to get plenty of sleep and plenty of exercise (for me that means running, one of my favorite activities). And, of course, receiving regular massages, which not only relieve my stress, but relax and rejuvenate my whole body. |
