Dear Neighbors,
Happy Thanksgiving from your 2011 Bayonne Place POA Board.

A lot has happened in the past few weeks since the November newsletter was sent out.  We are happy that the petunias have been planted, the holiday decorations have been hung and the directories have been delivered.

We have been getting great feedback about the traditional red and green decorations.  We are so thankful for Mary Jane Riggan and Ginger Fleming for planning and implementing the design.  Also, please don't worry about the missing banners.  They were blown down in the past couple of days and we are working on a solution to better secure them.

Your comments are extremely helpful.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at bayonneplace@aol.com.

Holiday Decorations Stolen from LaMarche
The LaMarche Place front entrance Christmas/Holiday Decorations were stolen, Wednesday late Evening/Early Thursday morning, November 16/17.  The Police were called and a report filed.

These were recently put out to encourage Lamarche Neighbors to enter into the LaMarche Home decorating contest which begins December 1st.

Our Neighborhood was so proud of the Beautiful entry way into Our Neighborhood. Wire Cutters were used to take the entire Swag filled with decorative balls, ribbons, etc.

Please send out to our Neighbors Courts and Maison incase anyone in the their Neighborhood might have seen something as they drove by Our Neighborhood.

Thank You

Malicious Emails
Please be on the alert, as the past 48 hours have brought with them a rash of malicious "phishing" e-mails.

These e-mails are designed to appear as if they are legitimate messages from various sources:  Fedex, UPS, DHL, the IRS, various banks and credit-reporting agencies, the Information Technology Department, etc.

I realize that we frequently remind you of this, but it bears repeating:  DO NOT click any links in these e-mails, DO NOT click on any files in these e-mails.  Failure to follow these steps can compromise your computer and all online accounts.  Unless you wish to give a stranger access to your bank account, please ignore and delete these messages that you receive.

The IT Department continually monitors these trends and when possible, implements blocks that prevent these messages from getting through.  However, the nature of this business is that we are typically in the position of reacting to an outbreak.  The threat is ever-changing, which is why it is important for all users to practice safe and sensible computing.

In short, if you are not expecting an e-mail from FedEx, DHL, UPS, IRS, or your bank and it contains an attachment or a link to a website, ignore and delete that message.  If the message--no matter how legitimate it may appear--asks you to reply with a username and password, ignore and delete that message.  Neither the IT department nor any of the agencies noted above will ask you to send them this information in an e-mail message.

Thank you for your understanding.  If you have any questions about this, please contact your local Information Technology department.

Community Standards - Back-Washing Pools
We are receiving a few complaints about residents back-washing their pools into their neighbors yards and into retaining ponds.  This is illegal and disrespectful to those that are being dumped on.  Please find better solutions like perhaps channeling the water into the street to flow into the storm shelter.
