In our first issue of 2012, we learn more about our new Strategic Partners within Future Vision and in particular NGOs such as Mercy Ships and Oikocredit International. There is also news about our other partnerships - with governments - as we jointly work towards extricating the world from Polio.
Yet, I wonder if we have ever considered that our most important strategic partnership lies between ourselves and our 1.2 million fellow members.
Like all successful partnerships, it relies on comittment- the dedication that each of our 1.2 million fellow members within our 34,000 clubs will continue to work towards improving health, supporting education and alleviating poverty through the support of our programs and projects. Like all partnerships, it also relies on trust: that we will we continually, consistently and generously keep donating to our Foundation as often as we can. This partnership is the key to our continuing success through The Rotary Foundation: a partnership built on goodwill and a goal of world peace and understanding.
Please continue to circulate our newsletter around your club, district and zone in order to develop even greater partnerships for the future.
