Message from Frank Devlyn
Past President of Rotary International
Vote every day thru Dec. 31 to support
Rotary as the #1 Service Organization |
Dear Rotary Family:
I have seldom if ever asked the Family of Rotary to vote for an outside of Rotary Project but when I see a reliable airline like United/ Continental involved I have to take note.
If we get moving and vote every day, from each browser, computer, and mobile device that you own, plus spreading the word with our contacts we will get a chance to get part of the 10 Million Charity Miles as mentioned on their site to vote, between now and December 31, 2011 here: http://10millioncharitymiles.com/
When you click on the link http://10millioncharitymiles.com/ you will see a bunch of symbols and the Rotary Wheel should be included for you to click on to vote for Rotary.
Viva Rotary!

Today, there are over 33,000 Rotary Clubs worldwide, in 200 countries and geographical regions, with over 1.2 million members. The club was incorporated in the state of Colorado on January 16, 1930. WHY I AM A ROTARIAN
|
 | VP of Women and Rotary Sandra Myers | It isn't a secret, or a process, or one solution to a problem. Instead, there are a thousand or maybe a million different reasons Why I am a Rotarian. It's sorta like a jigsaw puzzle, when the pieces all come together. I remember noticing the folks that belonged to the "Rotary Club of Cadiz". Although I was fairly new to the community, I knew most of them. They were my friends. They stood out in the community, the go to people if you wanted something done, the bankers, grocery store owners the insurance agent, lawyers, judges, doctors, CEO's and my best friend who always seemed to get called for duty in the ER on Monday nights and yet made time on Tuesday for her Rotary meeting. more |
"Beyond History," what our members are doing around the world. Send us your stories and they may be included here. Story needs to be less than 300 words with one photo showing the activity and including the author. Must be in the third person answering "Who, what, when, where, why, and how."

IPDG George Camp D-7230 NY/Bermuda immunizing children in a family compound in a rural village in Kano State, Nigeria. This Sub National Immunization Day (SNID) was held in April of 2008 and was so special because of the work of Rotary helped to convince parents to immunize their children against this crippling disease.
Nigeria is one of four countries in the world (along with Afghanistan, India, and Pakistan) where polio remains endemic. In 2009, the incidence of polio in Nigeria dropped by more than 50 percent, compared with 2008.
