WHY I AM A ROTARIAN
Ted Rose
Ted Rose
I joined Rotary in 1980 at the invitation of a business client who thought I would enjoy Thursday evening steak-and-potato dinner meetings and male camaraderie. In fact, I did.
But all that changed in 1984 when I made my first trip to Mexico. I met some very poor children in a tiny village on the slope of Colima's Volcano of Fire. In 1985 I invited my Rotary buddies to accompany me to throw a Fiesta for these children, and we invited the Colima Rotarians to help us. The "service" bug caught us all in its grips and my life has not been the same since. (more)
