Greetings!

This is our first newsletter for RGHF Women in Rotary.

In two weeks, RGHF will host an interactive session where the history of Women in Rotary will be a main topic. The meeting will be at the New Orleans IC, Saturday 21 May from 1:30-3:30 in room 384. If you are attending the 102nd convention, please join me at this meeting. This was the idea of one of our RGHF board members Sandra Myers, zone 30.

This week marked the 24th anniversary of the US Supreme Court decision that eventually recognized women as members of Rotary. (See www.historyfan.org for the article)

We have 133 RGHF women members, or 15% of our membership (16% of our board members).

For RY 09/10 the percentage of women in all of Rotary was 16%. Those statistics are found at rotaryfirst100.org/women/percentwomen.htm

RGHF has our own Facebook page for Women members where 96 are already registered.

In our next letter, we hope to have news of many more women members in RGHF and some exciting features to announce. Those will be discussed at New Orleans.
