Rotary First 100 (RGHF) presents

Rotary Global History Fellowship Day

Saluting a different club each month

This month's club is Kansas City #13

In 1910, Kansas City launched the thirteenth Rotary Club in history. "Club 13" is one of the oldest, and most prestigious, service clubs in the world.

The insistence on keeping to a single member for each classification led indirectly to the formation of the 'Stand Together Club' in Kansas City, Missouri, by Dr George W. Smith in 1912. ... More here

Follow the links and learn about the connection with the Kansas City Convention of 1918 and formation of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. Also check out the 1985 convention. (we need the history of that convention) The club and district history are recently revised.
Part of our celebration of the centennials of all Rotary's First 100 Clubs.  Read about our "events" then click on "awards" to read other celebrated club histories starting with November 2008.
