Volunteer clears sapling growth from beneath a tree
Dear Conservancy Volunteers:
July was our most productive month of the year so far! Even above-average temperatures didn't keep our volunteers from their work. For all of you who joined us in the past weeks, great work! I think everyone would agree that the parklands look amazing this time of year - because of you!
Thank you to all who have come out recently to show your support and, for those of you who will be joining us in the near future, we look forward to seeing you soon!
The month of July was an industrious time for the Conservancy Volunteer program!
Volunteers working on a bed planting
The River Street and Western Avenue Bridges benefited from the attentions of KPMG interns, who removed all the tall-growing weeds.
Altman & Vilandrie removed dozens of bags worth of invasive vines along Memorial Drive, increasing arbor health.
Jumptap brought a huge group of people and did a fantastic job at Herter Park- cleaning, painting, and planting.
Not to mention Community Boating worked to clear shoreline blocking the view of passing boats.
Great work to all! The river is looking fantastic - but there is still more to do.
Want to lend a hand? Looking to spend a day outdoors?
