Dear Conservancy Volunteers:
Summer has arrived and we couldn't be more thrilled! The Charles River Parklands are green with vegetation and seasonal flowers are in full bloom. Paddlers are navigating kayaks and canoes up and down the Charles, and the many sailboats in the basin look beautiful against the city skyline. With a number of events held in the past month, we thank recent volunteers for your participation. And for those of you who haven't yet joined us this season, don't worry because there will be many more opportunities to volunteer with the Conservancy in the coming months!
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself as the new Volunteer Coordinator. I've enjoyed meeting many volunteers already and look forward to meeting more volunteers as we work on various projects along the river! Happy Summer. All the Best, Danielle Stehlik Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator

Who's Been Volunteering...
|
June has been a very productive time for the Conservancy Volunteer program! Many areas along the Charles have received landscaping attention. W/S Development cleared bittersweet vines from a playground in |

| | Volunteers working in Herter Park West |
Watertown and Community Boating removed vegetation blocking the view of boats and increased safety. Cambridgeport Neighborhood Association, Single Volunteers Boston, Riverside Boat Club, and community members made major headway clearing out a bed at Magazine Beach. Employees from Google's new employee-driven initiative, GoogleServe, cleared a pathway in Herter Park West while Millennium Pharmaceuticals worked to prune trees and beautify a garden in Herter Park. Thanks for everyone's efforts in preparing the Charles River Parklands for summer! Things are looking better than ever!
