Dear ,
Staff training begins on Monday June 4 and will continue through June 16. While the majority of our staff will arrive on Monday, some of our program staff have already been working hard this week to open up their program areas. Below are two examples:
Andrew Wheatley, Media Center Director has been working on the Roanridge Grant with the focus of developing the answer to the ques-tion, "What does it mean to be a Christian in a digital world."
Samantha French, Arts and Crafts Director, has been in a creative mood and is developing some ideas for a wall mural and creating a vision for program embracing an outreach ministry (more on this later).
Above are two fantastic examples of people who are actively engaged in this vital ministry on campus. What is even more exciting to share is the growing number of people now adding their own gifts of time, talent and treasure from every corner of our Diocese. Some examples include; Holy Spirit Missoula is gathering resources to provide 30 day packs to our Grace Campers. Quilts have been coming in from all over the state for Grace campers. Financial support is growing; needed if for every child at Grace Camp to be fully sponsored($484).
Imagine, what would it look like if every member of the Episcopal Church participated in the ministry of Camp Marshall this year. Believe it or not this is
possible. Three great ways to participate in the ministry of Camp Marshall is through gifts of prayer, time (volunteering in your community or at camp), or making a financial gift to Camp Marshall.
Our Ministry spotlight is currently GRACE CAMP. This camp is the Diocese of Montana's biggest outreach program with provision solely from donations through individuals and congregations. Please give so these children may know that God loves them. We are only 15 days away from the first program day and we still need to raise $9,931.00 to cover the cost of this camp. This can happen with 124 gifts of $80.00 or 20 full scholarships of $484.00.
Our most recent success in raising the funds needed to put a new roof on Brewer Lodge has happened with the project complete before the camping season begins. You can make a difference today by making a donation. It is very simple, to use a credit card, simply click here. Checks can be sent to: Camp Marshall, P.O. Box 2020, Helena MT 59624.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Yours in Christ,
David Campbell
