God is Managing our Delusion Beware of the Blind Spots |
Greetings!
Recently I met a business leader of six manufacturing companies at the Houston International Airport. He was on the phone sharing with his wife that he can't believe he missed his flight even though he was sitting within 10 feet of the boarding gate. He was extremely perplexed how this could have happened. He stated that he showed up for the flight 30 minutes before boarding and even went to the gate to get a better seat, then sat down for what appeared to be five minutes. When he looked up at the gate again his plane had boarded and had left the gate without him noticing.
When he got off the phone he looked at me and asked if he was being too loud. I replied and stated that I was very interested in his story. I told him the same thing happened to me one time. I proceeded to ask him what he was thinking about when he missed his flight. He told me that he has some serious problems at work and that his company is no longer making a profit. He stated that he was having a huge problem with employees acting in a state of delusion. In fact the very problem he was focused on pertained to a work project where the engineer forgot why he designed the product that was now being manufactured. He said it seems as if employees are perplexed, out of control, and/or delusional.
I at least made him laugh as I shared a few similar stories I had witnessed lately. In essence I was telling him that he was not alone in the perplexity of our day. I then proceeded to tell him that many people miss the things that are right before their eyes when their spiritual, mental or emotional eyes are entrenched on an issue. The information I had the opportunity to share with him over a 40 minute conversation is included below:
- God states that He is managing or controlling our delusion
- Our physical and spiritual eyesight has blind spots, and those blind spots are increasing
- God is shifting things in front of our eyes, but many cannot see it take place.

God is Choosing and Managing the World's Delusion | |
Many people are aware of the reality that there is an increase in strange behavior happening in all walks and realms of life. At first glance when we hear stories that perplex our minds, we wonder ... "what in the world was the person was thinking?" The fact is the person had a blind moment or lived in a state of delusion for a period of time. The period of time may have been for a split second or a few years, but they were blinded to the logic that would have prevented them from doing the bizarre. There is an increase in individuals who appear to be normal, but suddenly do the bizarre. God states in Isaiah 66 verse 1 and 4. "So will I choose their delusions, And bring their fears on them; Because, when I called, no one answered, When I spoke they did not hear; But they did evil before My eyes, And chose that in which I do not delight." (KJV)
This verse may cause many to figure a way around this verse being of God, as their view of God is slanted toward God as all loving and never judging. In essence they have a blind spot for any aspect that does not give comfort, love or joy. However, the reality is God is all this and more. In II Thessalonians 2:11 the same concept is applied by stating at some point God will send a spirit of delusion upon people who no longer believe. "And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie." Again, people who have a blind spot for the fullness of God's attributes will always choose to not view God's ability to manage the world in His fullness. For those who want to open their entire view of whom God says He is, will start seeing the fact that God manages and chooses Human destiny. Unfortunately when our view is always to look to other associations, organizations, and systems to solve and manage humanity, we find that they are short lived, always changing, and after thousands of years still have not solved humanity's deepest needs.
As God continues to draw the world to Him, and they still look to other means for their answers, the greater the delusion will become. When all is said and done, there will only be one answer to humanity's needs; and His name is Jesus.

Our physical and spiritual eye sight has blind spots | |
Scientists have proven that the physical eyes have a small blind spot in the cortex of each retina. The blind spot on each eye is not easily noticeable because the blind spot on each eye is compensated or corrected by the opposite eye. Nonetheless the truth is that there is a blind spot, specifically when things are up close and near to our eyes. This is why we do not always catch typing errors, or things that are in very close proximity. This same type of blind spot exists in the spiritual or emotional realm. This is why an emotional person often sees things differently than other people do. What they see in the spiritual or emotional realm is blinding them to some of the logic that they would normally see. The reality of spiritual blinds spots is the essence of the following three verses.
1. The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! Matthew 6:22-23
2. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints. (Ephesians 1:18)
3. As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them; but their eyes were kept from recognizing him. (Luke 24:15-16)
The businessman I met at the airport hit a blind spot mentally, emotionally, and possibly spiritually because of the upfront issues in his life. These types of blind spots caused him not to see the plane boarding and leaving right in front of his very eyes. In fact, just as the eye test above, the closer you are to an issue the greater the chance of missing something obvious. This businessman was pressed right up against the issues he was dealing with, and could not see the obvious fact that his plane had boarded and gone without him on it.
Many readers reading this will quickly reflect back on the last year and start remembering things that you think disappeared on you, only to find them back the next day or week. The reality is, that they are not disappearing, but you are having blind spots due to the increase amount of information, stress, and delusion floating in our everyday lives.

God is shifting things in front of our eyes, but many cannot see it take place | |
This topic may make you feel uncomfortable, but there is great news. God was the one who institutionalized a great shaking of the elements and dominions of the world (Hebrews 12:25-27). In addition, the most amazing aspect is that God stated that in our present day he will make a shift and allow the first to be last and the last to be first; "Am I not permitted to do what I want with what belongs to me? Or are you envious because I am generous?' So the last will be first, and the first last." (Matthew 20:15-16).
The shift has started and the transition is happening right before our very eyes. In fact the shift is so close to humanity that people cannot see it due to their blind spots of emotional, mental, or spiritual lack of light.
If each reader calmly considers this spiritual truth of the least will become first and the first will become last they will start remembering and seeing these very transactions take place. In my case, I recently witnessed one of the most prized Churches in America file for bankruptcy, while an 87 year old man who was a bartender for 27 years wrote his first book on the redeeming nature of God. (The Frank Bremser- Journey of a Lifetime). It was one of my most personal and visual illustrations of God's Word proving and living itself out right before my very eyes. Spend some time reflecting on the transactions that include things being taken away from some people, and added at the same time to other people. The exposure of people who think highly of themselves will continue to occur, while at the same time, the less fortunate people will be standing in line to receive that which God longs to give them.
As the continuum of time moves forward, we will see more and more extremes of people who are blinded through greater physical, mental, emotional, financial, and spiritual blinds spots who refuse the full-counsel of God's Word, while at the very same time we will witness the least of people start rising to new levels. |

I am delighted to write on this topic as the facts are stacking up in favor of God's full counsel in that He is managing the world's affairs more than we give Him credit for. He is the potter and we are the clay. Unfortunately, the more that I stress, look to associations, organizations, and systems that are themselves being shaken, the more I will be blindsided and miss key opportunities, transactions, and tangible things such as airplane flights, relationships, and possibly even the coming of Jesus Christ. Maybe this is the very reason that the Bible states that Jesus will come as a thief in the night ... because many will be blinded to the transaction happening right before their very eyes. It will be the greatest transaction of all time ... Jesus coming back for those who love Him.
May we all choose to look to the author of Light, Jesus Christ, so our spiritual eyes can be enlightened to behold His coming, as well as all the transactions happening as he chooses humanities love, destiny, and delusion.
