Is your Head in the Clouds Yet?

The O'Manna Plan
Greetings!

Introduction

For those who have kept up with many of our spiritual bulletins you are aware of the number of times we have mentioned 'Clouds,' and the number of references in Scripture about clouds.  We have also talked about individuals who have physically viewed their great cloud of witnesses in the sky during the past year.  There are 100s of references to clouds and the importance of clouds. As a teaser, below are three key scriptural aspects about clouds that may just get your head in the clouds.

1.        God made a covenant with Noah referencing clouds and the rainbow.

a.       "Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life."Duet. 9:14

2.       God states that the clouds are his chariot and how he travels.

a.       Sing to God, sing praise to his name, extol him who rides on the clouds- his name is the LORD-and rejoice before him.Psalms 68:4

b.      He lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters. He makes the clouds his chariot and rides on the wings of the wind. Psalms 104.3

3.       For those who have accepted Christ, we will meet him in the clouds.

a.      Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen. Rev. 1:17

We are delighted to report a strange occurrence in Australia on February 26-27, 2010. The clouds rained down perch. That's right, 100s of perch were raining down from the sky over a small town.  This spiritual bulletin is intended to see if your head is in the clouds, and if you are paying attention to the new O'Manna plan.  You will find the story of the perch raining down closely resemble the time God allowed Manna and Quail to rain down for His people who were on the O'Manna plan. We will call this the O'Manna plan in hopes of relieving everyone's fears about the Obama Plan.

Raining Perch from the Clouds

On February 26-27, 2010 the 650 residents of the small town of Lajamanu, Australia witnessed 100s of perch fall from the clouds. Some of the fish were alive and some were dead as they fell during the two day period.  Scientists say that this type of activity is not unheard of, and they assume that a whirlwind or tornado had picked up the fish from a river or the sea and placed them in a freezing cloud. When the fish get tossed or sucked inside clouds they may freeze and eventually drop down after traveling 100s or 1,000s of miles.  The story can be read and verified at: http://blogs.abcnews.com/theworldnewser/2010/03/its-raining-fish-hallelujah-.html

I am sure most of you will want to verify that this story is true. Once you have verified the story, consider through time other recorded incidents like this have occurred.  Below is a list of some of these other incidents.

·         1st Century: Pliny The Elder wrote about storms of frogs and fish, foreshadowing many modern incidents.

·         1794: French soldiers stationed in Lalain, near Lille, reported toads falling from the sky during heavy rain.

·         1857: Sugar crystals as big as quarter of an inch in diameter fell over the course of two days in Lake County, California.

·         1876: A woman in Kentucky reported meat flakes raining from the sky. Tests found the meat was venison.

·         1902: Dust whipped up in Illinois caused muddy rain to fall over many north-eastern U.S. states.

·         1940: A tornado in Russia brought a shower of coins from the 16th Century.

·         1969: Golf balls fell from the sky on Punta Gorda in Florida (above).

·         1976: In San Luis Opisbo in California, blackbirds and pigeons rained from the sky for two days.

Biblical Analogy of Raining down Manna and Quail

If you read in Exodus chapters 14-15 you will find that the events of the Israelites leaving Egypt may have included a very similar activity.   The story starts out with the Lord created a strong east wind that parted the red Sea (Exodus 14:21). Some translations say that the wind lasted all night in order to get all the Israelites across the red sea.  It is possible that the strong wind scooped up many objects, animals, fish, etc.  An important observation is that just prior to the strong wind causing the red sea to divide, God put a cloud in front and behind the Israelites (Exodus 14:19).  The clouds were present and would have easily held whatever was blown up from the sea. A unique feature of clouds is that many have ice crystals capable of freezing whatever enters the cloud. In other words, the clouds could have acted as a refrigerator for whatever was blown up from the Sea, and dispensed as the Israelites needed food.  Oddly enough, the Lord led the Israelites by a cloud by day and pillar of fire by night. Immediately following the Red Sea crossing by the Israelites, the Lord began to provide daily Manna from heaven. God followed this miracle from heaven by delivering morning Quail that miraculously appear on the ground.  Exodus 15 describes that the Israelites would wake up to fresh Manna from heaven on the ground as well a Quail that appeared.  The cloud that led them on their journey may have very well been the cloud that was at the Red Sea collecting the provision that was needed. It would have been a true O'Manna plan devised by the same God who travels on the clouds as His chariots.

Taking the recent story of perch raining down in Lajamanu, Australia one can possibly see the miracle that God brought was a miracle indeed. At the same time, could it be that God wants us to start looking upward toward the clouds because our redemption is drawing closer and closer, and He is coming in the clouds.  (Rev 1:17).

The Shift of Clouds - My O'Manna Plan

There is no doubt that the cloud activity is increasing. As one example consider the Iceland Volcano which continues to hinder air traffic and the ash clouds collect many items as it travels.  The volcanic ash clouds are now about 1,000 miles wide, and may last for another year. Also, consider the six million gallons of oil that have recently spilled into the Gulf of Mexico. This oil will have a strange effect on the water evaporation and what ends up in the clouds.  Imagine when this dark water mixed with oil evaporates and forms clouds in the sky?  Will these clouds be strange looking? Will these clouds start holding different types of objects?  Will these clouds become dark enough to make it appears as though the sun and moon turn different shades of color?

What I do know is that God's chariots are the clouds, and He will send His Son Jesus to meet us in the Clouds.  What an exciting day to start imagining what might be happening in the clouds. I think I might start putting my head in the clouds! I also might start looking upward not only for my redemption (Luke Luke 21:28), but for my provision in these difficult times of need. I choose not to worry about the government's health plan; teasingly referred to as the Obama plan. What I need is an O'Manna plan where my provision comes from whatever source(s) God wants my provision to rain down from.

Look up as your redemption is getting closer and closer!

"When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." Luke 21:28
