NYSERDA Grant for Fuel-Operated Heaters

Prevent School Bus Idling

Improve Air Quality While Saving On Cost of Fuel

NYSERDA PON 1896 is currently accepting applications to fund the cost and installation of about 29 Espar E-Guardian fuel-operated coolant heaters per district to prevent prolonged idling of school buses for defrost and engine warm-up.  This grant is open to school districts in EVERY COUNTY in New York.  Districts are eligible for funding even if electric plug-in block heaters are currently being used. Contractors may apply in selected counties.
