COOLANT EXTENDER & SERVICE INTERVALS
Reminder:

Please refer to Section 5 of your Operator's Manual for recommended service intervals.  Note that maintenance should be performed based on WHICH EVER COMES FIRST: miles, months, years, hours or gallons of fuel

Important Tips:
  1. Shell Rotella ELC Coolant Extender should be added at 30 months (Part # ZSH9404306031Q)
  2. Coolant should be replaced at 5 years.
  3. If your oil change intervals are based on miles, check the hours as well.
  4. Confirm that your intervals are correct based on the application (avg mpg or avg speed).  This is broken down in Section 5 of your Operator's Manual.

BODY ISOLATOR UPDATE

Update on Authorized Field Changes (AFCs) 10912 and 10913

Body Isolators for Certain BE, CE, FE, and RE Buses Built Between 1 Sep 2008 and 28 May 2009

Proper Torque Settings for Body Tie-Downs are Key to IC Bus Construction:  Service personnel at all Leonard Bus Sales locations are working with our customers to schedule and complete these AFCs ahead of the November 2011 deadline.  According to the AFC instructions, once repairs are completed, the body tie-down bolts should be re-torqued to their proper values within 30 days or 1,000 to 2,000 miles and quarterly thereafter during periodic maintenance inspections.

Torque specifications for bus body tie-downs are listed on Figure 17 (Page 15) of AFC 10912 and Figure 22 (Page 31) on AFC 10913 and also available on-line through IC's Bus-ISIS web site.

Maintaining proper torque settings for bus body tie-downs will help maximize the safety and reliability of your IC bus throughout its service life.
