Good Grief.  Is it really?

For this March newsletter, we would like to continue our journey into the emotions and how they relate to spiritual growth. 

Whether it's our economy or a backyard garden, we all know that unlimited growth is impossible. Eventually, a recession arises or winter comes and things stop expanding in order to prepare for the next growth cycle. The same holds true for our lives. Sometimes we just have to stop expanding and focus on letting go of the parts that are no longer serving us.

This letting go period can feel uncomfortable. A part of us is dying and there are many ways we delay the process. Denial, numbness, anger and blame. 

However, in traditional Chinese Medicine being able to accept the reality of the situation is an important part to the metal element and amounts to being able to accept divine will. Once we see this situation as something that has to happen, it will allow us to open fully to the grieving process. 

Without grief, we linger in the sadness of loss. Our lives lose value and our bodies lose energy. Grieving is the process of letting go so that we can make room in our hearts and our minds for new life and new experiences to come in. 

Physical symptoms or imbalances that arise when grief is not expressed appropriately include shortness of breath, tiredness, cough, dry skin, spontaneous sweating, constipation, diarrhea and abdominal pain.

Remember that life can be miraculous, but it is always changing. The fall leaves are stunning, but then they are gone. It can take a bit of faith to remember that spring will come again but there are things to do in the meantime. 

Don't allow the grass living on your lawn to be covered with dead rotting leaves all winter. Your yard will be healthier if you rake the leaves and make a compost pile.

Oh How Our Garden Grows

Here are some of the exciting happenings at Future Medicine Today.

We are all looking forward to making ourselves at home in our new digs.  This spring brings a new office space. You also might notice some additional faces at the FMT office as we get the support needed to take Accunect to the next level.

I would like to officially introduce my wife, Sarah Simonis, as a part of the FMT team. Sarah was instrumental in helping me develop the Accunect system and brings an important feminine aspect to the work.  In addition to her strong background in healing work and spiritual development she also has extensive experience working public relations for government healthcare education and charities, which will be a significant help in spreading our message.  

Accunect is receiving rave reviews! People are experiencing an intimate connection to themselves and to the feminine energy that continues to deepen with each course. It is 2012 after all, and time for new energy to present itself.

We have posted the current seminar schedule for this year here and have been busy preparing for the first Accunect Zoom class, which will be held March 23-25 in Marina del Rey, CA. This adjunct course is for those of you who are interested in learning additional tools and metaphors for your healing observations. Accunect Connect is a prerequisite for Zoom.  

We are repackaging the 'Being in Practice' e-series , comprising e-courses 'Ethics in Practice' and 'Excellence in Practice'. This is the last month that it will be available to new students in its current form. For those of you already taking this e-course it will remain available. This series discusses the ethical and logistical elements of a clinical practice as well as topics such as who you are being in your role as practitioner and how to see more miracles. It has been invaluable to many students' businesses. See here for more information and look for an updated series to be available soon.
