Welcome to this months newsletter.

There are some great new developments for you to check out this month. Included below is an article on how to increase your intuition, an essential skill for practitioners.

I've created a complimentary audio lecture on the advanced exploring procedure. I am often asked for clarification on this, so I did a teleseminar for my last class on the subject. It went down so well I've decide to share it with you all. See below for your copy.

I'm really excited to announce the new title of my newsletter to be launched next month, Future Medicine Today. The current content of the newsletter will remain plus additions to make it relevant to a wider audience. Make sure you continue to receive information and articles by subscribing to the new newsletter, Future Medicine Today.

To keep up with my latest updates, insights and other tidbits become my friend on facebook or follow me on Twitter.

Every time a newsletter gets sent, my office receives a flurry of emails with questions for the 'Ask Dr Kaimi' section below plus comments and feedback including this one from Jill Horabin in the UK "Thank you so much for your newsletter - it's always full of really interesting, useful and practical information - just what I need."

Kathie Straker sent this after reading my 'Top 10 Tips for Financial Success' article in last months newsletter "Doing intake, your absolutely right .... I have worked on clients who will never know how much their sessions are helping them." along with a question about doing an effective intake that I have answered in 'Ask Dr. Ka'imi' below.

Its great to know that the newsletters are thought provoking and of use for you. Thank you. Please keep the interaction going. This is your newsletter.

How do I get more Intuition?

I'm often asked "how can I develop my right brain?" What they really mean is "how can I develop my intuition?" The full answer to this question requires an understanding of where intuition comes from. Once the principles are understood, the steps to developing better intuition are pretty easy.

The first part of the answer is that your right brain is already directly connected to all of the information in the universe. So no development of the right brain is really necessary, everything you want to know is already inside you! The trick is being able to access what you already know. "How come some people are more intuitive than others?" I hear you say. The answer is that we thankfully have a filtering mechanism that keeps all of the information in our subconscious from flooding our conscious mind. It's hard enough to keep track of what I have to do, if I could hear everyone else's thoughts I would go crazy with overwhelm. The goal is to get useful information from the infinite reservoir (of information) while still filtering out the 'noise.'

Having a good protocol of questions is useful. But the quality of your answers are still subject to the limitations of your thinking mind. The left-brain generates doubt and adds extra questions like "was that really a yes?" The left-brain also went to school and 'knows' that your senses only extend so far: you can't see around corners, you can't hear through a thick wall, etc. Your left-brain knows thousands of reasons why you can't be intuitive and will try to trip you up.

This is one of the reasons that I did a study on distance sessions last year with the Center for Biofield Research in India. I wanted to offer some objective evidence that information could be gathered intuitively at a distance. I had no interaction with any of the test subjects, but I was still able to ask questions about them and do useful balancing sessions. The only possible source of information was that my right-brain had access to information in the universal energy field, or collective consciousness.

One of the reasons I teach BodyTalk is that it has a useful way of asking questions that lead to useful answers. This helps prove to yourself that your consciousness is connected to universal consciousness one session at a time. Of course, your conscious mind will get in the way, but over time the evidence accumulates that you are getting answers and results that your left brain could not have possibly figured out. The only possible conclusion is that you are connected to All That Is.  When this sinks in, you stop worrying so much and you relax. And then your intuition really opens up.

The real answer to developing your intuition is to relax.  You're already connected to universal knowledge and All That Is. Your conscious mind can't perceive that connection so give it something to do, like following a protocol. This allows your right brain to prove that you've always been intuitive.

Ask Dr. Ka'imi

Vanessa Sumner from Australia asked for insight on a client that is going through school bullying. "Obviously there are many possibilities and innate will advise, however is it possible that the imbalance lies within Wood, where the young client is almost skipping the cycle of movement through the WoodAnger expression of emotions as she seems to go into defeat and fear and then straight to sadness and crying when attacked."

Yes, I think an imbalance in Wood makes sense. The apparent 'skipping' of the expression of anger makes it appear as they a skipping an element in the cycle. Most likely it is a deficiency of Liver or Gall Bladder Qi that leads to timidity and an inability to generate or express anger when necessary. But there may be other deficiencies as well: deficient Kidney Qi leads to deficient Will and the inability to stand up for oneself, and deficient Spleen Qi will lead to weepiness because there just simply not enough energy to 'hold it together.' So in addition to balancing the persons issues around emotional expression, it may be necessary to balance the reasons why there are not making enough Qi. As you say, you need to ask for priority to figure out where to begin.

After reading my article 'Top  10 Tips for Financial Success' in the last newsletter, Kathie Straker asks "I just received your newsletter and have a question on item 8 regarding building a practice.... I'm really not clear what is meant by "doing intake"... I think your above comment is important to me as I've only been involved in BT for 18 months now and gaining confidence is very much an issue for me ... I am interested in anything that would benefit me in this regard."

Having a way of seeing changes by asking useful questions and using a client intake form or other form of evaluation is a very important part of practice management and helps you and your clients to feel confident in the process.  It is useful to have a way of finding out about the person, what are their health challenges and emotional challenges. A person may come to see you about their back pain but if you don't take a thorough client intake on the first session you may not find out that they also suffer from migraines, depression and digestive issues. On the second session, if you haven't asked them about these issues because you didn't do a thorough intake previously, you will never find out that the migraines, 10 year depression and digestive issues have cleared up.  They may have slight or no improvement in their back issues and feel like the session didn't do anything unless you bring attention to the other things that have improved. This will show you and them that they are getting amazing results even if their back wasn't their body's first priority for healing. I do go into much further detail about how to do this effectively in my  Basics of Being in Practice courses. Click here for more details.

Donna Nelson, CBP from San Mateo, CA asks bout Meridians. "Hello, I took Chinese Medicine with Ka'imi and LOVED the course. Meridians come up for me quite a lot in sessions with their functions or patterns, but I would like to be getting better results. In thinking about this, I realized that I tend to 'see' the meridians as a chart on the body rather than a 3-D flowing energy. I would love to hear his description of how he visualizes meridians and/or any other tips he has for getting better results. . . just thinking 'liver meridian' as part of the formula doesn't seem to be enough."

Good question Donna. Bringing a better focus to the balancing is what helps you get better and better results over time. With the organ imbalance patterns, I included a lot of potential symptoms to give more focus to what is being balanced. The meridians pathways are a little different to conceptualize. I chose the meridian diagrams for the manual carefully because they show the internal pathways. To me this is so important in order to be able to really understand the connections. I don't think it is necessary to have a really vivid 3-D image, but when a meridian comes up, I would take a moment to pull out the diagram and look at the whole pathway including all of the internal pathways. For instance the liver meridian comes up the leg, encircles the groin and genitals, goes internal to connect with other meridians, goes thru the liver, gall bladder, stomach, and lungs, encircles the mouth, goes through the eyes, and connects to the crown chakra on the top of the head. This brings to mind a whole network of related areas rather than just a line on the surface of the body. Taking that extra moment to load your awareness with a more complete picture of how many areas and functions are coordinated by a meridian brings a lot more focus to the balancing and will take your results to another level.
