Its been a busy few weeks for us at BodyTalk Unlimited, with the release of the first download lecture series, and Ka'imi's exciting research presentation at ISSEEEM. We have been fielding many questions and wonderful comments from students and CBP's worldwide.

We've finally bought Ka'imi in to the modern age with his debut on Twitter last week. Now you can hear what goes on in Ka'imi's head! Follow him there if you dare!

A special hello to our readers in more remote parts of the world. Location no longer dictates how included we can be.

Barbara Hames from Bali sent us a message saying - "I love your newsletters and the clarity of the information they include. Useful for me in Bali where I have no other CBP to chat with. Thanks a million."

And Jenny Lehr from South Africa says "A huge thank you for Ka'imi's brilliant newsletter, so so enlightening & appreciated. Keep up the good work!"

We enjoy hearing from you, your feedback helps us to develop the right tools for you. Our readership continues to grow as you share our newsletter with your colleagues and clients. A big thank you!

Sticky Notes
No Limits

I originally learned BodyTalk as I thought it would be a great tool to add to my practice. Within days, my practice had almost completely converted to all BodyTalk. More importantly, my results far eclipsed what I had been taught was possible from my acupuncture  and manual therapy training. My journey for the last ten years has been one of increasing my own awareness of my consciousness of limitations - and teaching others to go beyond their own limitations.

When I reorganized my company a few years ago, I decided to call it BodyTalk Unlimited to convey my personal and professional goal of transcending limits. So many of the questions asked by students or that I see on the members forum are really questioning the limits of what is possible. Every year more and more of my answers are able to quote direct experience with conditions that I am asked about. When people ask: "Can BodyTalk work for.....?" I am able to answer:

  • Migraines (that's easy, usually just a few sessions)
  • Babies still in the womb (yes - feel them kick , they really respond to you)
  • Autism (yes, dramatic results)
  • Learning Disorders (great results quickly)
  • Brain injuries (have I got stories for you...)
  • Cancer (sure, I've seen it go away)
  • Chronic back pain (easy in almost all cases)
  • Digestive disorders (all the time)
  • Multiple Sclerosis (results in all cases, some complete recovery)

That's of course a short list, but most of them are things I would have considered hard or "incurable" at one point in my life. But there are countless conditions, and for many of the questions, I don't have direct experience. In many cases I am able to quote the experiences of my students. For the rest of the questions I always say that the ability of the body to heal itself is the single most documented phenomenon in medical science - BodyTalk helps the body be more efficient in that process.

When I first started practicing BodyTalk, the results far eclipsed what I thought was possible. I had studied energy medicine in the form of meridian therapy for ten years, but my scientific upbringing was at odds with what I was seeing. My parents are both PhD chemists, and I grew up believing that if you can't reproduce it the laboratory, it doesn't exist. So I did research on molecular biology, and I found a string of research dating back to the 1950's proving that the electrical field at the surface of the cell membrane literally determines the genetic structure of the DNA. If this capability didn't exist, no multi-cellular organism could exist - this really is a fundamental aspect of biology. The changes can be dramatic. Cells can mutate within hours if the surrounding electrical field changes.

Stay with me for part two: thoughts are electro-magnetic fields and you can measure them several feet off the body using equipment developed forty years ago. Other clinical research indicates that the fields extend much further than that, but they become difficult to isolate once they start to overlap with other fields further away from the body. Conclusion: what you think generates an electrical field that carries information across a distance.

Putting it together: if you can change thoughts, you can change electrical fields. If you can change electrical fields, you can influence the genetic structure of every cell of the body. If you can think it, it can happen. Our only limits are our thoughts. George Bernard Shaw once said "You see things; and you say: 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say: 'Why not?'"

I take Mr. Shaw once step further: instead of "Why not?" I ask "How can I think clearly enough so that it will happen." So my company name is a constant reminder not to be limited by what other people think is possible and instead to challenge myself to reach higher with my own thoughts.

So why have limits? Why not try? I'm always excited by the opportunity to go beyond the limits of what I was taught possible. Changing the world-view of what is possible is the task of every BodyTalk practitioner.

Feedback for Ka'imi's lecture series 'Ethics of Successful Practice'.

"I have listened to the Miracles lecture and absolutely loved it.  My attention was totally captured. Ka'imi's voice was so compelling, I was hanging on the edge of my seat waiting in anticipation for the next glorious gem to emerge.  Ka'imi has covered a lot of material that is so needed and there just isn't time in the basic training to cover it - yet it is really vital. I'm so thrilled he has put this training together and I will definitely be referring any trainees in my classes to sign on." - Rosilyn K Kinnersley, BodyTalk Instructor, Australia

"Just listened to the 2nd of Kaimi's Ethics lecture. Blown away, talk about money well spent!" - Cameron Walker, CBP, New Zealand.

Ask Dr. Ka'imi
Adv Sr. CBI, VP for Academic Development at the IBA

i symbol logoAlison vanZanbergen CBP asks both of our questions this newsletter.

Do you need to have an address for remote sessions?

No you do not need an address.  I always have the name and sometimes I ask my clients to send me a picture - as this gives me good diagnostic tools.

As most of my clients are distant sessions I also sometimes have them on the phone although this is not necessary.

My research carried out with Thornton Streeter from the Centre of Biofield Sciences shows that this is not all necessary.  All 100% of participants in this study received good results.  All I had was a name and I had no other contact with them at all.  To see an article about this study read the latest IBA newsletter.  You can also download a study excerpt and an audio download of the ISSEEEM conference lecture presenting the study here.

Any advice on scheduling BodyTalk sessions around other appointments?

You can get too much treatment, and I don't like clients to get another treatment within 24 hours of my session as a minimum. It takes that long for the body to communicate the session through all the meridians, so it is really in a state of flux for 24 hours after any session.

Just because the session has been passed through all the meridians doesn't mean it is finished processing it - I actually recommend a space of three days between sessions as a general rule. Getting more than two session a week is usually counter-productive. There are situations where a BodyTalk session may be useful sooner than three days after another session, particularly if the other session was using another modality. When a client is finding it hard to process that session, having a BodyTalk at this time can be very effective. The other treatment may have started an important shift, but additional balancing may be necessary to allow the shift to complete.

I often find a real synergy in sharing a client with another practitioner, as we each bring a different perspective. But more is not better and too much treatment can actually distract the body from the healing it needs to do. A more difficult issue is that inexperienced practitioners in any modality tend to over-treat, so then the amount of spacing between sessions becomes even more important. It is very difficult to assess or discuss the skill and experience of other practitioners, and I always avoid even appearing to critique colleagues. So I like to stick to general guidelines like at least 24 hours as an absolute minimum and have only two sessions of any kind per week.

To put it into words would be to limit it!!! " - Allison Costron, CBI.

Thank you Kaimi for your enthusiasm and the clear, simple and 'easy' way you presented this information and documented it in the manual." - Tania Vinson
