Hello to all our readers, and a special welcome to our new readers. We're receiving many new subscriptions to our newsletter, indicating to us that we're providing you with content that you are interested in and happy to share. We've shared some comments below, thank you for confirmingthat we're on the right track!
There is a lot of excitement building in the office this month as we prepare to bring you the first in a series of audio courses focused on practice building and ethics, an area I receive many questions and feedback about. I hope you will enjoy this series.
The first lecture is on the ethics of asking. A very topical subject at the moment, I've discussed this further in the article 'How Good Are Your Answers?' Also I discuss group dynamics in 'The Matrix' - a key part of having our business thriving is to ensure that the energy dynamics are flowing. Easy with BodyTalk!
Please continue to keep your questions and feedback coming so we can ensure that we keep providing tools that are relevant to you. And it makes our day to hear from you! "Its great to be able to have an interactive experience with a well coordinated and professional office like Kaimi's, keep up the great work! I really enjoyed the article on distance sessions which I have sent out to many clients and other professionals with whom I work." - Debbie Zacharias, South Africa
"Thank you for the newsletter,......... I did enjoy reading what I received." - Emily

How Good Are Your Answers?
|
I rarely teach Module 1&2 anymore, but when teaching the advanced modules I find that a high percentage of students are not practicing because they lack confidence with their muscle checking. Being able to muscle check is the deal breaker. The problem I repeatedly find is that people think of muscle checking as a skill, whereas I teach it as an understanding. When students really understand what muscle checking is about, they get it quickly.
Of more concern is that I often hear either in person or by reading the forum that many practitioners are over-confident about their muscle checking. This is very dangerous, as a recent forum post indicated: a practitioner advised their client to go off prescription drugs based on muscle checking. The client worsened and was justifiably upset. Over-confidence can be fatal, it's just not worth it.
Its important to remember that our answers are colored by our filters. We all have them. Recently I was doing a BodyTalk session on my son and I came to an environmental link affecting him. It was either me or my wife. At this point my answers were becoming fuzzy. I didn't want to think that it was me affecting him. I eventually asked my colleague Karen Atkins to do a session for him because my filters were affecting the clarity of the session. In fact he was resonating with an aspect in me that was affecting him. It's important to understand that we all have limits. The way we see things will affect our answers.
Another question I am often asked is "Why hasn't BodyTalk grown faster because it is so amazing?" I believe the real answer lies in the ethics of muscle testing. You have to be relaxed enough to do effective BodyTalk, but being over confident, and giving advice based on muscle testing severely damages the whole matrix. We need a lot more practitioners who understand how to muscle check in an effective AND ethical manner. For more insights and understanding about this very important topic you can join my audio download lecture. Details are given below.

The Matrix
|
Sometimes the old saying about the cobblers children not having good shoes strikes too close to home. Late last year I relocated to Boulder, CO, set up a new office and added to my staff. With so much transition as well as lots of projects going on, including a new accounting system and a new website, there have been gaps in communication as we define and redefine roles for myself and my staff. I found myself getting frustrated at mistakes and mis-communication. And since it is my company, I can really only blame myself, which is even more frustrating! So we did a Matrix BodyTalk session on my company. The change in tension for myself and others was immediate, and the real test: more registrations for future courses and a flow of new clients came in right away! Our energy shifted and the universe responded, it's as simple as that.
Working with the energy dynamics within groups and families is a key feature of Module 9. Part of Module 9 is working within the body to transform belief systems, but to fully address the big picture we need to look at how the person fits into the family, their company, their team or club, and their community. The Complex Matrix techniques in Module 9 address groups as if they were living organisms - which of course they are.
Here's where we come back to the analogy of the cobbler - I teach Module 9, but sometimes forget to use the techniques on my own life and the groups I belong to. So I decided to do a matrix session on my 2010 Module 9 courses in South Africa and California. These are joint efforts between myself and my team, and the local coordinators and BodyTalk communities. It is a perfect example of a group needing BodyTalk to function at it's optimum efficiency and energy level. Here's a summary of the links that came up.
For the South Africa class, I first wrote down as many people and things related to the course that I could think of: my staff, coordinator Debbie Zacharias, her assistant, Julia Hastie, our new website, manual printing, etc. Then I made a similar list for the California class, where the coordinator is Laura Stuve. These were the links:
South Africa Mod 9:
1. Hydration with a consciousness definition of optimism, linked to a parcel of our new shopping cart online payment system linked to the South Africa BT matrix.
2. Wood to Metal with a consciousness definition of surrending old ideas to allow growth.
3. A parcel (Julia linked to my office staff) linked to another parcel (testes linked to adrenals with a definition of energy). The resulting package had a roving satellite of Neptune.
California Mod 9:
1. A parcel (SB linked to the IBA office) linked to another parcel (Jupiter linked to Pluto with a consciousness definition of transforming optimism into action)
2. A parcel (My two assistants Jennifer and Ginnaya linked to each other) linked to a secondary normal matrix (in the adrenals of the whole BT matrix, consciousness of poverty/struggle).
3. Cortices to the adrenals of the BT matrix.
For more about how this can affect the health of a family or other group, take Module 9! See you in South Africa or California! Go to the IBA website for more information. |

"Please clarify your comment that the piriformis muscle is another major controller of lymph drainage and that it may need releasing before the pubic bone as controller." Jill Nutsford, CPB from New Zealand follows up on an insight Ka'imi shared in a 1&2 course.
In commenting on this I don't intend to suggest altering the lymph drainage or lymph circulation procedures presented in Module 1&2. Just to mention that the piriformis stabilizes the sacrum while allowing natural movement of the sacrum during the breath cycle. The movement in the sacrum is essential for lymphatic drainage in the whole lower body. So anytime you work on the piriformis, either directly using the MuSk protocol or indirectly by balancing the pericardium channel (Chinese clock), you may be effecting lymph. You could also end up balancing the piriformis and lymph by balancing the sacrum through reciprocals, or by linking it to Jupiter for optimistic (and hence flexible) support! It's all connected, that's what I was trying to communicate. Hope that helps. It's nice to hear from you Jill - any communication from New Zealand is like a message in a bottle from home... "I
have been getting good results linking the areas of the spine using their
planetary correspondences but I am puzzled by the occiput. I remembered you
giving a planetary correlation for the occiput during one of your classes..." Laura Cioppa, CBP from Texas asks for further information on Module 6 planetary balancing.
I don't have definitive answer, but I often end up linking the occiput to Jupiter or Neptune. I haven't found a specific correspondence in Jyotish astrology but Jupiter and Neptune both have a natural relationship to the sacrum. This association makes sense given the role of the sacrum in providing a firm foundation and the spiritual outlook that characterizes both of these archetypes. Most typically, the occiput comes in as part of the occiput-sacrum reciprocal. The relationship between the occiput and the sacrum in the cranial-sacral system gives support to this logic. And the occiput is associated with the brow chakra which gives further affinity for the spiritual seeking that characterizes Jupiter and Neptune.
