Tasty Story:  The Message Greeter & Me 

 

"I had planned to eat a healthy lunch. I really did. When I pulled up to the McDonald's drive-thru, I was ready to order a salad and a bottle of water. Then the Message Greeter caused me to lose my mind. It innocently asked if I wanted a McRib Value Meal, and I immediately forgot all about my salad and water. "Yes, I'll have the McRib meal and a Coke, please," I said.

For the next few minutes, I was consumed by guilt. Then I took the first bite of my McRib. It was delicious. I think I'll have the salad tomorrow-and I'll block my ears when the Message Greeter comes on."  M. Hanlon

The Message Greeter is also equipped with a easy to use diagnostic menu.  To access this menu, unplug the Greeter, then press and hold "Enter" when re-applying power to the Greeter.  From this menu, you can directly test the speaker output without waiting for a car at a drive-thru.  To exit this menu, press the "Esc" key until you escape to the normal menu.  Please note:  while in diagnostic mode, the message greeter will not greet customers.
