Dear Friends and PrintSmith Users,

 

How many times have you heard "your price is too high"?, and how many times HAVEN'T you heard "your prices is too high?" Sometimes your customers will tell you that you are too high and other times they won't, they just leave or hang up and go someplace else.

 

One of the reasons may be that your PrintSmith is set up to be too complicated for your CSR to understand and as such makes mistakes. I have even seem very experienced CSR's make the same mistakes!

Many users have their PrintSmith set up to have multiple copiers/digital presses and Presses. Many of the systems I have seen look similar to these:

 


 

or like this for the Press Definitions:

All though technically correct, these cause massive mistakes each and every day as CSR pick the wrong copier or press.

 

A quick example of 1000 copies on standard white bond would cost your customer $65.37 on the "Text 8.5 x 11 B&W Digital" while on the "Text 8.5 x 14 B&W Digital" it jumps to $80.37. A $15.00 or a 23% price difference!

 

Another example would be 1000 copies printed on the 1c normal coverage press would be $41.09 compared to $56.63 on the 1c heavy coverage press, a 15.54 difference or a 38% price difference!

 

With a few minor errors by your CSR's (or you), you can see that very few shops can compete with 23 or 38% price differences!
