PrintSmith and QuickBooks
Are you still using QuickBooks to invoice your customers? If so, the big question is WHY? PrintSmith is a complete accounting program, where you can create an estimate, turn it into a job (invoice) and then bill your clients directly from PrintSmith.
Using PrintSmith just to estimate and then using QuickBook to invoice is a waste of time as double entry is involved. Also, it cause mistakes when one does double entry. Also, much better reporting is available in PrintSmith than QuickBooks. It only makes sense to keep it all in PrintSmith.
What about P&L and Balance Sheets? -my accountant says it's easier to do it in QuickBooks.
This is true, but you can export your PrintSmith data directly into QuickBooks (or most any other program). To do this you would create an accounting link when you do a closeout (daily or monthly), Make sure the accounting link is checked or if you forget, then you can print it and save it from this screen.
