I just returned from a PrintSmith's users site where he was still doing all of his quotes with paper and pencil! Now he did have PrintSmith, and has been a user for over 7 years, however, the numbers in PrintSmith were never put in correctly nor did he know how to do it. After a 2 day visit, he is now using PrintSmith and he has his employees quoting correctly as well. "John" did tell me that he wanted me in sooner, but thought he couldn't afford my services. After the visit, he said it was the best money he ever invested in his business in over 15 years! He said he should have had me in years earlier. As I tell my potential clients, my fees are an investment in your PrintSmith and your business. Budgeted Hourly Rates (BHR) |
Alot of my visits recently have been to install BHR's throughout PrintSmith. This is vital if you want to use the COSTING section and TRACKER. BHR's need to be accurate and complete if you are to gain the actual costs of any estimate/job.
With accurate/correct numbers, the estimator can then hit the COSTING button on the estimate and see exactly what their costs are, see what their profits margin is, and then have an educated answer on weather to discount to be be competitive.
I have come by the services of Bob Shaw who will conduct an intensive study to come up with a BHR for EACH piece of equipment AND for each department. His numbers all include your TOTAL over head, including all salaries, rent, equipment payments, etc. Bob's work is the best that I have ever seen for our industry.

| What are my fees to see you in your place of business? |
My fees are made up of a)Daily rate and b)Expenses. I try my best to keep my expense to a minimum inorder to be fair to my clients. I also include free unlimited support after my visit. This includes any topic of PrintSmith, weather we discussed it during my visit or not!
Once you realize what I offer and how much more of PrintSmith you will be using, you will notice that my fees are very minimal and that I will bring an integral part of your success in PrintSmith for years to come!

| Where will I be in June and July? |
Alot of users want to use my services and schedule my visit around my scheduled time in or near their city. This way they can save some money on my expenses. I am only glad to accommodate these users. As such, I plan on being in the following cities/states in June and July. I started PUSH - PrintSmith Users Support Hotline for PrintSmith users who wanted faster support issues answered than what was available.PUSH is free of charge to any user that I visit. However, it is open to all PrintSmith Users. The yearly fee of $550.00 includes all support but does not include product upgrades as those must come from EFI. Also, I support all versions and platforms (even version 4.0!).

| Why Use Bar Code Scanners? | |
Bar Code scanners are a vital part of PrintSmith! While they are great for the new modular TRACKER, they are primarily used to scan job tickets and see where each and every job is within you shop. This saves valuable time looking for jobs while your clients are on the phone.. Just go to your Pending Document window and see where each job is!
