Dear Friends and PrintSmith Users,
Thank you for all of your emails and phone calls thanking me for the tips I provide in my email blasts, I surely appreciate them all.
As I travel around and see users and help them be more productive with PrintSmith, it occurred to me, that even the most experienced users find my services extremely beneficial. Not only is my knowledge of PrintSmith intense, but with over 25 years of printing experience, including owning my own printing company, I bring a wealth of knowledge to you. In 13 years I have never come across a user that didn't learn something from my visits.

Report Writer and it's use |
On a recent visit, I helped a user create a report of all the items/forms they sold to a particular customer. The customer wanted a better price based upon quantity and in order for this PrintSmith User to have the available knowledge, Report Writer came to the rescue!
Report Writer takes any and all data that is in PrintSmith and puts it into a nice report. One of my specialities is teaching users how to use Report Writer to better manager their business.
The user that I produced the report for was able to negotiate a better price for their client based upon usage.
Prior to my arrival, the user was manually figuring the quantities based upon hard copies of invoices. It took them over 2 weeks to do. They can now do it in a matter of minutes. My visit was well worth the money they spent! |
| Estimating takes too long |
On another visit, the estimators were taking too long to estimate. Their problem was that PrintSmith had 20+ press definitions and over 30 copier definitions, not to mentions 100's of charge definitions. My theory is to keep it simple! We were able to eliminate alot of the presses and copiers and charge definitions. This user had a copier definition for 8.5x11 "regular" paper and then another for 8.5x11 "special" paper, etc. I was able to show them how one definition would give them the prices they wanted for each of the different papers.
By simplifying PrintSmith, they are now getting out more quotes, getting them out faster, getting them out more accurately and this lead to more jobs and more profitable jobs.

I am happy to say that not only do I take PayPal, I can now take credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Amex) via my iPhone. Just open the enclosed PDF, fill in your information (you can type directly into the PDF), print it out and fax it to me at 954-977-7884. All faxes are shredded after I get a credit card approval..

I started PUSH - PrintSmith Users Support Hotline for PrintSmith users who wanted faster support issues answered than what was available.PUSH is free of charge to any user that I visit. However, it is open to all PrintSmith Users. The yearly fee of $550.00 includes all support but does not include product upgrades as those must come from EFI. Also, I support all versions and platforms (even version 4.0!).
