| Customer Log |
One of the most under used feature in PrintSmith is the customer log. It is listed in each customer's account. Go to AR -> Accounts, Pick an account and then hit the LOG tab. Here you can put all kinds of notes and these notes will be seen by each user (as long as they have security access).
If your users sign into PrintSmith, then their name will automatically populate in the log -- see my name!

| Using the Customer Log |
Some of the uses for the customer log can be (as seen above) to communicate that checks or payments will be sent on a specific date. This is very useful for the accounting department to communicate with the CSR.
Another use is to have the CSR's contact your clients to offer a special or to see why they haven't been in during the past month (use Report Writer to get that info).
Any communication with your clients, should be documented into the customer log so that everyone in your organization can locate it. |

Report Writer is a great tool to take the comments out of the customer log. The below shot shows all of the comments (just 1!) that were entered into PrintSmith today. You can of course sort by date or by user (CSR/Sales/Accounting). This is a great way to keep on top of everyone who is expected to contact your clients for new work, etc. There is no need to go to each Account, use Report Writer!!
