| Marketing within PrintSmith (w/o Report Writer) |
When you create an invoice, have you ever wondered what the box that says "Re-orders" with a date next to it does? Well if tells you when the client is due to re-order this job. If the client is ordering letterheads and it will last them 6 months, then you can type +180 in the date field and it will populate 6 months from today. Likewise, 3 months would be +90. Now you can go to REPORTS -> Reorder List and type in the range of dates to get a reorder list. I like doing this at the beginning of each month and use the current month as a search. This way on July 1, I would see all the jobs that need re-ordering in July. Now I would call these clients for their re-orders. What an easy way to increase sales!! Remember, if you are not proactive, your competition may get that re-order!
Now what if you don't know how long it will take the client to use the work? How can you put in a realistic reorder date? Well PrintSmith makes this task very easy! Go to Admin -> Preferences -> and in the Estimator Behavior, check the box that says "calculate re-order date on invoice copy". Now if you take a job from history and create a new invoice, then the re-order date will automatically populate based upon the number of days since you posted that invoice from history. It could be 7 days or it could be 58 days! Now this new invoice will automatically show up on your re-order list at the appropriate time!
So easy to keep track of all those re-orders.

| Marketing with Report Writer |
Report Writer gives you so many options to market your business. Here are just a few examples of reports that can be created in Report Writer.
1) A list of all customers you haven't seen in the past 30-45 days. Now you can have your CSR's call them.
2) A list of all customers that placed estimates and haven't turned into jobs.
3) A list of prospects to really go after and prospect them into customers.
4) A list by month of all the jobs that you did last year at this time that were over $xx. This way you can call them and see if they will being the work again this year. Perhaps they had a convention/trade show.
5) A list of your top customers and then use that list to market more work from them!
6) If you go to AR-> Accounts and then go to the Marketing Tab, you have 18 places to put specific information about the customer. Here you can use Report Writer to pull that info out. For example if you use the space called "business type" and you put in Doctor and then with Report Writer you find that 70% of your business is coming from Doctors, then who would you then market to?
7) The list continues with only your imagination on what you can create. Remember, if it is in PrintSmith, it can be retrieve with Report Writer.
