COSTING |
Costing is now a very valuable tool within PrintSmith. If set up and used correctly, it tells the estimator what their actual costs are and how much, if any, they can discount or up charge to be competitive.
Aside from the BHR and stock costs, costing can tell the estimator how much it will cost to cut 5,000 sheets or how much it costs to fold 10,000 flyers. Yes, these operations have costs associated with them.
The question management needs to ask, is our PrintSmith set up properly to capture all of those costs? Is each and every estimate/invoice reflecting our true and actual costs? |

With Report Writer and Costing, you can create a report that shows the total cost of the estimate/invoice and compare the margin (profit) to company guidelines.
Also, as seen in this diagram, one user wanted to see the profit of each job by sales rep. This owner is now going to pay commissions based on profitability of each invoice.
