PROFIBUS at Instrumentation Scotland

The PROFIBUS Group will be supporting this biennial event that returns to Aberdeen on 8th & 9th September. We will be on Stand 105.

This focussed exhibition, located in the heart of the Offshore Industry, not only brings together the many companies who supply products and services specific to this sector but to others involved in processing, power generation, paper, distilling, water and waste, and marine engineering in North East Scotland. There is a full and varied seminar programme that visitors can attend free of charge, to find out the latest technological developments and updates from industry experts.

The event is free to enter and includes free parking and free lunch.

MMU Logo Upcoming training opportunities

The next opportunity to get PROFIBUS trained and Certified will be at MMU's Certified PROFIBUS Training week from 20-24th September.

Following a new format designed to help candidates reach their fullest potential in just a week, the schedule covers the Certified PROFIBUS Installer course - which is pre-requisite, the Commissioning & Maintenance module and finally the Certified PROFIBUS Engineer Course.

Each course can be taken individually or as part of the full set, depending on the candidates' existing qualifications and ability.

In October there will be the chance to get qualified on PROFINET, when MMU will be presenting the Certified PROFINET Engineer course on the 12th to 14th. Book now to avoid disappointment!

To register for any of these events, please download the Registration Form and return to admin@uk.profibus.com or call Ann on +44 207 193 8018 to check availability.

PROFIBUS UK Supporting WWEM

Following broad acceptance of PROFIBUS as the preferred communications protocol within the UK's Water Industry, Members of The PROFIBUS Group will be supporting the Water, Wastewater and Environmental Management show, WWEM 2010 at the Telford International Centre 10 and 11 November. There are a host of new features that will attract visitors from a broader section of the instrumentation community, for example there will be a new Laboratory Analysis Conference and a new Gas Detection Zone.

The WWEM organisers have joined forces with a broad range of leading organisations to ensure the success of the 2010 event. British Water, The Institute of Water, Sensors for Water Interest Group (SWIG), The PROFIBUS Group, the Water Monitoring Association (WMA) and the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) will all be closely involved.

Conference presentations will provide information on the latest regulations affecting process and effluent monitoring with authoritative speakers from the Environment Agency, ABB, SIRA, and UKAS. The Conference will be repeated on both days and chaired by British Water.

Registration is now available at www.wwem.uk.com
