Greetings!

With only 5 weeks to go, the PROFIBUS & PROFINET User Conference 2010 is almost upon us. But don't worry, there's still room to squeeze in a few more delegates and a few hotel rooms available if you're quick ...

The conference programme is now finalised with many highly informative presentations from the industry's experts. Among the highlights will be a keynote address from Joerg Freitag, Chairman of PROFIBUS International, bringing the audience up to date on the latest advances in the technology and revealing the most recent market data.

Mark Freeman of Siemens will show how PROFIenergy can help reduce energy consumption in manufacturing plant while Wes Allen of Endress+Hauser will continue the energy efficiency theme in process industry applications.

David Bray of United Utilities will present his company's experiences with PROFIBUS in the Water industry and Stephen Moore of ABB will show how PROFIBUS is making a name for itself in renewable power generation.

Other areas covered include functional safety, asset management, wireless and Profibus in education.

Comprehensive Educational Programme

Covering the latest developments in PROFIBUS, PROFINET and PROFIsafe technology for factory and process automation, the programme places great emphasis on serving the needs of the User community, i.e. companies that own, operate, design, build or maintain manufacturing facilities and process plant. The aim is to assist companies making the transition from conventional to fieldbus systems as easy (and jargon free) as possible.

Audience participation

These sessions will include audience participation and so there will be opportunities to explore for yourself how PROFIBUS and PROFINET equipment and techniques are used in practice. The carefully organised schedule means that you can attend hands-on sessions without having to miss an important presentation.

Who Should Attend

The event is a "must" for anyone involved in, or thinking about, fieldbus, intelligent instrumentation and actuation or networked control systems applications.

Live Demonstrations

Supported by live demonstrations of actual tools used in calibration and maintenance, the programme will be of great value to Instrument Technicians/Engineers, C&I Engineers and System Engineers involved in design, operation and maintenance of modern process and manufacturing plant. A Certificate of Attendance will be issued to all delegates to add to their professional training records.
