Practical fieldbus workshop training at PROFIBUS Conference
Come
and learn the principles and practicalities of PROFIBUS and PROFINET at our annual
conference in Stratford-on-Avon on 29th and
30th June! Designed to introduce the digital fieldbus technology
that is now standard for plant, factory and process automation system installations and
expansions, the conference combines workshops showing the practical aspects of
cabling, installation and fault-finding, with user application presentations -
where professionals share experience in applying the technology - and with an
exhibition showing equipment from all the major suppliers. It
is now 20 years since the technology was introduced and PROFIBUS International
(PI), the technical body behind the standards, has an established network of
training and qualification centres providing user support around the world.
In the UK the major PROFIBUS centre is at Manchester Metropolitan
University, where regular training courses provide training and
certification
for both installation companies, fieldbus project and maintenance
engineers.
Training staff from MMU will provide taster sessions as part of the
workshop
presentations which will provide the "Do's and
Don'ts" practical tips for installers, maintenance engineers and project
managers. The
digital technology used in PROFIBUS and PROFINET also allows plant operations
staff to collect useful practical data about the performance of plant assets
and systems, and the benefits of this capability will be explained both in the
practical sessions and the technical presentations. The two day event provides
a repeat of the training on each day, enabling delegates to attend both the
training sessions and the relevant technical presentations. To ensure
that no-one goes away with unanswered questions, pre-registered
delegates have the opportunity to pose their questions in advance of the Conference. Once
registered, delegates can submit the questions they need answered by emailing their questions to uk@profibus.com. Further information
