Conference Update - 2nd Call for Papers

Stratford Manor Hotel - Conference venueFollowing on from suggestions received of topics delegates would like to see addressed at the next Conference, the Papers Committee has issued a 2nd Call for Papers with deadline extended to 31st January 2010.

Papers covering current "hot topics" are especially welcome. This year, for example, we plan to have several presentations where PROFIBUS has been used in energy monitoring or management systems to help reduce fuel costs.

The Committee are looking for speakers who are willing to make a short (30/40 minute) presentation on applications and other user aspects of PROFIBUS and PROFINET. Topics can include system design, commissioning and maintenance and can cover any application area or industry sector.  Interactive presentations featuring live demonstrations and hands-on activities are particularly welcome.

Proposals for presentations or workshops should be sent to The Papers Committee at uk@profibus.com addressing the following points:

Working title and name of presenter
Preferred method of presentation: Formal paper or workshop
List up to 10 bullet points to show the subject matter to be covered
Indicate to which target audiences the presentation will be of most value:
End Users including installation and maintenance personnel
         System designers
         Decision makers including managers
Indicate in which "main theme" the presentation best fits:
         Process - including hazardous environment
         Factory Automation
         PROFINET
         PROFIBUS
Indicate if suitable for beginners

The Conference is scheduled to take place on 29 and 30 June 2010 at the Stratford Manor Hotel, Warwickshire. Visit the Conference Website for further details.
