PROFIBUS & PROFINET User
Conference 2010

Following the undoubted success
of the last six conferences, PROFIBUS UK is delighted to announce the PROFIBUS &
PROFINET User Conference 2010.
Based on the feedback gained over the previous
years, 2010 promises to be better-than-ever! Totally user-focused, the conference and exhibition
will take place on June 29 & 30 at Stratford Manor,
Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire.
Comprehensive Educational
Programme
Covering latest developments in PROFIBUS, PROFINET and PROFIsafe technology for factory
and process automation, the programme places great emphasis on serving the
needs of the User community, i.e. companies that own, operate, design, build or
maintain manufacturing facilities and process plant. The aim is to assist
companies making the transition from conventional to fieldbus systems as easy
(and jargon free) as possible.
Sessions include audience participation so there will be ample opportunity to
explore for yourself how PROFIBUS and PROFINET equipment and techniques are
used in practice. The carefully organised schedule means that you can attend
hands-on sessions without having to miss an important presentation.
The event is
supported by a free of charge exhibition with interactive displays and
technology demonstrations from the UK's PROFIBUS Competence Centre and leading
product vendors, trainers, consultants and systems integrators.
Who Should
Attend and why?
The programme of
parallel conference presentations, hands-on practical sessions and exhibition
mean that this event is a "must" for anyone involved in, or thinking
about, fieldbus, intelligent instrumentation and actuation, networked control
systems applications. Supported by live demonstrations of actual tools used in
calibration and maintenance, the programme will be of great value to Instrument
Technicians/Engineers, C&I Engineers and System Engineers involved in
design, operation and maintenance of modern process and manufacturing plant. A Certificate of Attendance will be
issued to all delegates to add to their professional training records.
Your Questions
Answered
To ensure that no-one leaves with questions
unanswered, we give pre-booked Delegates the chance to pose their questions in
advance of the Conference so that our speakers can adequately research and
address them during the sessions. FREE Admission
to Exhibition
Admission to the Exhibition is free-of-charge
to pre-registered visitors. The Exhibition opens daily from 9.00 am.

Greetings!
Welcome to the third issue of PROFINEWS UK edition. I hope you like the new format and are finding it informative.
This week's issue is intended as a summary of the PROFIBUS Group's training and related learning opportunities on offer in the UK to the end of 2009.
By the way, if you no longer wish to receive these updates, then there is a very simple Opt-out facility at the bottom of this letter.
Or let me know what you think of the newsletter and maybe any suggestions you may have for improvement. Email me your comments

Certified
PROFIBUS Engineer 24-27 Nov 2009
(Also available on-site for up to 8)
Engineers wishing to build their
careers around PROFIBUS in either industrial or process automation, companies
wanting to benchmark their technical staff or consultants seeking a recognised
professional qualification in industrial and process networking can now train
for an internationally-recognised qualification as a Certified PROFIBUS
Engineer. The Certified PROFIBUS Installer Course is a pre-requisite for
attending this course. Download Brochure Download Testimonials See bottom of the page for Registration Form
Certified
PROFIBUS Installer Course - 6 Oct, 3 Nov, 23 Nov, 8 Dec 2009
(Also available on-site for up to 12)
An essential course for electrical
engineers and technicians needing to upgrade their skills to include fieldbus
installation. This one-day, hands-on course teaches the design, installation
and testing of complete PROFIBUS networks including DP, PA and optical fibre
technology. Covering bus layout and termination, grounding rules and practices,
the course will teach delegates how to avoid common, but potentially expensive,
installation problems. Download Brochure Download Testimonials See bottom of the page for Registration Form
PROFIBUS
Commissioning & Maintenance Course
- 4 Nov, 9 Dec 2009
(Also available on-site for up to 8)
A new one-day course designed as an
add-on to the Certified PROFIBUS Installer Course. Covering the practical
techniques of faultfinding on "operational" PROFIBUS networks. Techniques taught on the course include the use of a modern PROFIBUS
analyser and Class-II master (engineering tool) to diagnose network faults,
device faults and I/O problems. Students also learn how to use a soft digital
storage oscilloscope in conjunction with these tools to diagnose and accurately
locate cable, connection and device faults. Download Brochure Download Testimonials See bottom of the page for Registration Form
System Design Course - 7 Oct 2009
A one-day
course covering the optimal design of networked automation and control systems.
Centred on PROFIBUS and PROFINET technology, but also covering the use of
Ethernet & AS-i technology and system software. The System Design Course builds on the basic knowledge of the Certified
Installer and provides additional knowledge on designing not only PROFIBUS
systems, but also how to use Ethernet, PROFINET and other technologies
appropriately. Download Brochure More Details See bottom of the page for Registration Form
