The Big Boom - Fear of Thunderstorms and Fireworks 

 

 


Does your pet:

- get nervous or pant before or during storms?
- shake and drool before or during storms?

Pet U Classes

 

Learn about various pet related topics during these classes co-sponsored by the CARE Center. Classes

 are held at the U of I Small Animal Clinic, check in is at 6 pm. Classes are from 6:30 - 8 pm. Each class is $8 per person if you register by the early registration date. If you register after that date, the fee is $13. For more

 

-  Let's be friends: Preventing and Treating Housemate problems in Dogs and Cats

 

Properly introducing a new cat or dog to resident pets can go a long way in preventing future problems. In this session, you will learn how to make your new addition feel welcome while keeping resident pets at ease. Dog-dog, dog-cat and cat-cat relationships will be discussed. This class will be held on May 14th. The registration deadline is May 2nd.  

 

- Exercising With Your Pet

 

Thinking of getting both yourself and Fido on a new exercise regimen? In this session you will learn about some of the factors to consider before lacing up your sneakers and clipping on that leash-both for yourself and Fido. This class will be held on June 4th. The early registration deadline is May 28.

 

Mutt Strut

 

Attend Mutt Strut with or without your dog to help raise money for Champaign County Humane Society. Mutt Strut will be held on Saturday May 5th at Hessel Park in Champaign. Registration is held between 8:15 and 9:00 am. Walk starts at 9:10. Register your dog and recruit sponsors to pledge donations. Enjoy activities, games and contests for you and your dog. Champaign County Humane Society's Giant Garage Sale

 

CCHS is holding their annual Giant Garage Sale to raise money for their shelter. The sale will be held May 25 - 27th at Kesler Hall at the Champaign County Fairgounds. Visit their website for more information.
