The Big Boom! Fear of Storms and Fireworks
Does your pet:
- get nervous or pant before or during storms? - shake and drool before or during storms? - try to hide or run away from noises? - pace or seem restless during storms or loud noises? - whine during storms or loud noises? - stays close to you during storms or loud noises?
Learn ways to help your pet be less afraid of storms and loud noises. There are other options than just sedating them! DAP, special music, training and many other treatments are available for pets who are afraid.

Pet U Classes Learn about various pet related topics during these classes co-sponsored by the CARE Center. Classes are held at the U of I Small Animal Clinic, check in is at 6 pm. Classes are from 6:30 - 8 pm. Each class is $8 per person if you register by the early registration date. If you register after that date, the fee is $13. For more - Plants, their Toxins, and your Pets Ever wonder if the plants in and outside of our home could be dangerous to your pet's health? Learn from the medical director at the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center which indoor and outdoor plants are toxic, why they are, and what to do if your pet eats or becomes exposed to a toxic plant. This class will be held on April 9th. The early registration deadline is March 28th. - Let's be friends: Preventing and Treating Housemate problems in Dogs and Cats Properly introducing a new cat or dog to resident pets can go a long way in preventing future problems. In this session, you will learn how to make your new addition feel welcome while keeping resident pets at ease. Dog-dog, dog-cat and cat-cat relationships will be discussed. This class will be held on May 14th. The registration deadline is May 2nd.
