Pet Craft Day
Make some new toys or beds for your pets. We will provide fabric and other crafting supplies. You are welcome to bring your own fabric, supplies or patterns. We will hold the crafting event on Sunday Dec 4th from 2 - 4 pm at the dining room of Jarman Center. For more info, visit our website.
Santa Paws - Hands 4 Paws fundraiser

Dog and Cat Food Drive
We are collecting dog and cat food for SAM Food Pantry. They would like small bags of dog or cat food (under 8 pounds) and canned dog or cat food. Food can be dropped off until Dec 12th.
Pet U Classes
Learn about various pet related topics during these classes co-sponsored by the CARE Center. Classes
are held at the U of I Small Animal Clinic, check in is at 6 pm. Classes are from 6:30 - 8 pm. Each class is $8 per person if you register by the early registration date. If you register after that date, the fee is $13. For more
- Eyes: How they Work, How they Break, and How Veterinarians Fix Them
This one hour lecture will start with the normal anatomy and physiology of the eye. They will then discuss signs of eye problems and the most common diseases of dogs, cats, and horses. By the end of the evening, you'll know when your pet needs to see a veterinarian and what to expect from an eye exam. This class will be held on Monday, Dec 12th. The early registration date is Wednesday, Nov 30th.
- How Cats Learn and How to Modify their Behavior
Ever wonder why your cat hides from visitors or jumps on the counters? This session will present the science behind how cats learn and how you can humanely and effectively change their behaviors. This class will be held on Monday, Jan 9th. The early registration date is Wednesday, Dec 28.
Ranger enjoyed Thanksgiving and he is excited for Christmas. We told him he needs to be good if he wants presents. He wants us to get him a bird for Christmas, but we don't think he will be responsible enough to take care of it. 
Give you pet gifts. If your pet doesn't like to unwrap his or her gifts, try this. For dogs, put a couple yummy treats in with their gift and then wrap the gift. For cats, put some yummy treats or catnip in with their gift and then wrap the gift.
