Ranger will be relaxing for Labor Day, because he works so hard. He gets up walks around and plays, then naps, plays some more, then its bed time. What a rough day. He needs the day off.

We hope all the kids are getting along well in school. Ranger wants to tell them not to forget to play with their pet!

Pet U Classes

Learn about various pet related topics during these classes co-sponsored by the CARE Center. Classes are held at the U of I Small Animal Clinic, check in is at 6 pm. Classes are from 6:30 - 8 pm. Each class is $8 per person if you register by the early registration date. If you register after that date, the fee is $13. For more information about registering, please visit the Pet U website. The following are Pet U classes:

 

Feline Wellness: A Guide to a Lifetime of Wellness for Your Cat
Learn about easily missed signs of illness and injury in cats from veterinarian Kandice S. Norrell. This lecture covers understanding behavior and environmental issues, ensuring proper veterinary care, and recognizing common signs of aging and age-related diseases. This class will be held on Monday, Sept 13th. The early registration date is Wednesday, Sept 1st.

 

Caring for Your Aging Pet
Veterinarian Thomas K. Graves will discuss the aging process in dogs and cats, common medical disorders of senior pets, and strategies for keeping your pet healthy for as many years as possible. This class will be held on Monday, Oct 11th. The early registration date is Wednesday, Sept 29th.
