Greetings!
Welcome to my newsletter for Kali Energy Healing. I would like to announce my new blog - you can link to it from this newsletter. This month's blog is called "James Arthur Ray: when spiritual integrity meets capitalism". If you remember, several months ago Ray held a sweat lodge in Sedona, Arizona. 3 people died and 19 were injured. It was a very disturbing situation, especially when so many questions remain unanswered by Mr. Ray.
In other news, I am very excited this month to offer a new meditation class - Angel Meditation, which I will be holding in Saddle River in the next 2 weeks. I am sure you will agree that we are all in need of help but we rarely ask for any. Angels are definitely an underutilized resource. You can read more about the class below.
I would like to mention that if you can make the time - please send money to organizations that are helping Haiti, such as the Red Cross. I think we are going to be completely astounded as to how much devastation there really is - and how fast it can happen. It can happen to us here, too. If you were in their shoes, what would you do? I find it amazing that a country that is probably one of the poorest in the world, and only a few hundred miles from our shores - somehow through circumstances not under their control can be hit with such a devastating event.

James Arthur Ray: When Spiritual Integrity clashes Capitalism
"I can imagine that if one is selected to be apart of a huge commercial movie success like The Secret that it would be tempting to maximize the commercial advantages that present themselves. It must have been very hard for James Arthur Ray to turn away from the type of money that people were willing to pay to attend his 5-day seminar in Sedona, Arizona because of his notoriety.
Unfortunately for Ray, 3 people died and 19 people were injured during one of these events. Now questions are coming up about his character, his responsibility for the incident and the resulting deaths, and his ignorance of the spiritual and practical issues of running a traditional Indian sweat lodge. He is now subject to a homicide investigation, probably liability lawsuits from the grieving families, really bad media coverage regarding his lack of concern for the people in the sweat lodge, and most probably a downward demand for his seminars and books.

Blue Agave!
Blue Agave Nectar is a delicious, natural sweetener preferred by health-conscious people for use in foods and beverages. It has a low glycemic index rating, making it ideal for those with special dietary needs and those who wish to avoid sucrose or artificial sweeteners. Substitute sugar or honey with Blue Agave at a ratio of approximately 1:3/4.

 Joan Velardi has been studying and practicing meditation and energy healing modalities for over 25 years with various teachers in both USA and Europe.
She is a practitioner of IET (Integrated Energy Therapy) and Usui & Jikiden Reiki. She is a 2.5 Step Ritual Master and teacher with the Modern Mystery School. She also offers other healing modalities such as 22 strand DNA activations, energy balancing, cord cutting, negative energy removal and aura healing.
Joan also continues to study under Shulamit Elson in Kaballah Sound Healing.
Joan is a Tibetan Buddhist and has studied Buddhist meditation practice. She has studied with Marc Beriault on Wisdom of the Tree and has taken workshops with Denise Linn and Sun Bear.
She uses all of her education over the years in both healing and metaphysics and brings it into her work with people and animals.
