"Inside myself is a place where I live all alone, and that's where I renew my springs that never dry up." ~Pearl Buck |
Solitude

Solitude is a state of inner richness. It is the space to create, unwind, and find peace. Consider being home in your own sanctuary. There is freedom to reflect without prejudice and time for the mind and body to settle down and settle in. In solitude, there is clarity and sweetness towards life and others.
How do we embrace solitude on a daily basis? For most, time to retreat in silence, is non-existent. Instead, we have to practice remoteness from our reactions and the distractions that pull us away and bring out our shortcomings. Is it possible to find space between the thoughts that push, pull, and cloud our view? When we remain solid in our everyday lives, there is integrity in our walk, the capacity to pause and listen, and truth in our talk. In solitude, I can adjust my attitude and improve the mood of those around me. This sacred space is not easy to make, but a necessity for the well-being of all.
