"The first and best victory is to conquer self; to be conquered by self is of all things most shameful and vile."  ~Plato

Victory over Self
Backyard SquirrelTrue victory is internal and not something that can be seen.  It involves defeating the overpowering self.

By ridding the body and mind of all harmful residues including old, embedded habits, intentions become clear and our lives are surrounded with purpose, health, and empathy.

Savasana or Corpse Pose in Yoga teaches us to look at ourselves from the inside out.  In making time to observe and be still, reality is no longer misconstrued and we move thru our lives in truthfulness.

Guru Iyengar says, "This yoga posture is more beneficial than sleep, and yet the most difficult to master."  However, the practice of Savasana keeps us authentic in a world that is often hectic.  The most rewarding recognition is the one within.
