Greetings!
I want to express my appreciation to campaign contributors and general supporters for enabling us to meet our goals. This report is encouraging as we recognize the faithfulness of determined disciples who trust the Lord and our church mission to transform a community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You should know that your tithes and offerings are currently addressing the needs of people everywhere. We are responding to community service requests, updating our campus facilities to better host programs, supporting senior citizens with housing and computer classes, and working on the advancement of our educational plan and more.
When we began this campaign, our nation was experiencing economic challenges and yet the Lord enabled us to meet and exceed our original goals, to God be the glory!! Four years later the worldly worries are still present and ominous reports resemble years ago. However, we trust the God of all supply who has promised to meet our needs according to His riches in glory. Therefore, we are inspired by the divine provision of our past and remain faithful to our God as we move toward the future.
The Lord has added new disciples to our Friendly family and we welcome them to our team to assist in meeting next level goals. As a result of these blessings, we will begin requesting support for special facility needs. Our initial request for your support is for the restoration of the Dome that suffered damage to the roof and interior furnishings after a spring storm. We also will remain vigilant with burning our mortgage on the sanctuary. Our members have remained faithful to their pledges and in support of our monthly campaign initiative. We thank you tremendously!!
For those who wish to join our team and become pledge partners and supporters, we welcome you aboard. We recognize the smallest sacrifice can make the biggest difference. Stay tuned for periodic reports and updates on other special projects that are underway.
In Him,
Pastor M. Jones |

When will the Dome be ready?
On February 28, 2011, the roof of the Dome was significantly damaged by a storm. This misfortune resulted in unforeseen challenges that forced us to relocate our bible study services, rental and funeral requests, along with other special events. During the renovation process, leadership assessed how the Dome could be better utilized to meet the growing needs of our ministries at Friendly and the community at large. Part of this plan includes transforming the Dome into a state of the art facility that has the same accommodations as the new sanctuary (i.e. stage, lighting, sound etc) but on a smaller scale and more. So, when will the Dome be ready? We are working hard and closely with our contractors to have the dome available for use in time for our Family Enrichment Conference that is scheduled to kickoff on September 23rd.
Total construction for the Dome is $300k which includes video monitors, sound equipment and a commercial kitchen. This space can also be transformed for weddings, banquets, worship services, ministry events, theatrical performances, conferences, family reunions and large meetings. We are asking each member to remain in prayer for support and completion of this short term project and the Stewardship Campaign overall. |
