Its almost that time again! Auditions are this weekend for Alice in Wonderland - Ages 6-10, High School Musical 2 - Ages 11-14, and Evita - Ages 15-20. News About Ticket Prices at CMT
|
Tickets at CMT have been the same for the past five years.
We are not changing those prices this year but will be adding a per ticket fee
on all tickets - starting this summer. We have contracted with Vision One/Showare Tickets
in order to ensure the security and safety of on-line and credit card
purchases, to expand our marketing possibilities, and to handle ticket sales more
efficiently. The City of Fresno Parks and Recreation Department has requested
that a fee be added for the maintenance
and restoration of the "Memorial Auditorium"
The combined fees will be $3 .00 for all online ticket sales and $2.00
for box office sales - the fee will be added for all types of payment -
cash/check/credit card.
We know that though we are not collecting more money for
ticket sales it will still be costing our audience more. This summer we will
increase our group and discount ticket plans to help offset the increase.
Please understand that this was necessary - and will ensure
our being able to continue what is an incredibly valuable theater program for
our community.

Introducing Our New Production Manager
Victoria Robinson began her career in theater as a child actor with the Fresno Children's Playhouse formerly housed in CMT's very own Fresno Memorial Auditorium. Her career has since taken her to New York City where she honed her skills as a Props Master and to Los Angles where she worked as a professional Stage Manager and Prop Master. As Production Manager, she worked for the prestigious 'A Noise Within' repertory company out of Glendale, CA working on a wide varierty of classics from Shakespeare to Moliere to the greats of
American theatre.
Other theatre companies Victoria has worked with include:
The Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles, Tim Robbins' The Actors Gang-where she had
the great fortune to work as a Stage Manager on the stage adaptation of George Orwell's
'1984' which took her all across the country and to Hong Kong, and Playwright's
Horizons in New York City, where she was part of the team that staged the Tony
Nominated James Joyce's 'The Dead'.
Victoria recently returned to Fresno
after an 18 year absence to begin a new chapter in her theatre life. She
couldn't be more pleased to be working again in the same facility where it all
began and looks forward to an exciting new relationship as Production Manager
with Children's Musical Theatreworks and Musical Theatreworks Fresno.

New Intern Program for Technical Theater
CMT this summer will not just be about performers. We are
starting an inaugural intern program for "theater techies." If you want to learn more about sets, lighting and sound please fill out an application to work with our production staff this summer. Click here for the application!
Student Assistants
We are looking for interested students ( ages 12 - 20) to
work with our staff and castmembers in this summer's production of Alice In Wonderland. The job involves working with the director and staff to keep
rehearsals and performances running smoothly. You will learn valuable
management and theater skills as well as helping CMT as a volunteer and doing
important community service for your school and/or church.
