Good morning everyone.

Can you believe its December the 6th already.  At least the mountains are full of snow.

This morning the Bank of Canada kept its overnight lending rate steady at 1%.  This is good news for all variable interest rate holders.  My normal video commentary is not available this morning as youtube is having technical issues.  I will post it later today.

Basically what the Bank of Canada said is that due to the increasing uncertainty in Europe they will continue to have a very cautious approach to interest rate.  Economists were calling for a raise in rates in 2012 but they are now arguing over when the bank of Canada will lower rates in 2012.

Variable rates are still a good deal around prime-.2, not quite as good as the old rates of prime-.8, but still good considering the stability in prime rates.  If you would like to discuss your own situation just give me a call.

Allison and I were very saddened to lose our loving office mascot Logan last month but I am happy to announce that we have added a new puppy to our home.  Here he is!

What's Mortgage Dave been up to?
md tree
I have been busy working with my fellow Lynn Valley Community Association board members to create the first annual Lynn Valley Village Christmas Tree Walk at Library Square.  As an individual born and raised in Lynn Valley I am proud to be spear heading this initiative.  I hope it becomes a long standing tradition.

If you haven't had a chance to come by and see all the trees make sure you do as its quite a site at night.  We have a 20 foot feature tree.

Make sure you vote for the MORTGAGEDAVE tree as one of your three favorites.

Customer Feedback

This past summer we were looking to make our lifestyle change from a house to a condo. We unexpectedly found our dream condo but we weren't sure that we could make the finances work.

Because this was the second time we had used Dave's mortgage services, he had our financials on file and was able to outline a quick list of options available to us.

Dave was professional, detailed and timely, and made our dream come true.

We would highly recommend Dave to handle your mortgage needs, and we plan to use Mortgage Dave again in the future.

PS - our own "big" bank could not touch the interest rate that Dave secured for us.

In Conclusion

2011 has been a great year for Mortgage Dave.  I am delighted that my wife Allison was able to quit her job and join me in the office.  Allison handles all the administration and follow-up so you may hear from her from time to time.

This addition has freed me up to work on building the business.  Thanks to all of you, 2011 was a record year for our office.  Have a great Holiday.
Sincerely,

Dave Bruynesteyn
