Customer Feedback

Mortgage Dave takes the stress out of applying for and obtaining a mortgage! We have bought 2 homes in the last 3 years and Mortgage Dave helped us with the mortgage for both. His very professional 'can do' attitude puts us at ease and his way of explaining the process makes what can be a very complex and frustrating process, simple and manageable.

Be the first to know what the Bank of Canada is doing, my thoughts and how it affects you!
Good morning.  The Bank of Canada made the expected move and raised the key overnight lending rate by another .25% this morning.

This was expected and the Bank of Canada reiterated their statement of last month that they will be very cautious in making any further interest rate hikes going forward.

"In the statement on its decision to lift the overnight rate by one-quarter of a percentage point to a still low 0.75 per cent, Bank of Canada Governor Mark Carney and his rate-setting panel reiterated that future moves will largely depend on developments around the world and, in turn, how they may impact Canada's export-heavy economy."  read full story

What this means for you the mortgage consumer is that if you have a variable rate mortgage rates are still very low and attractive.  Rates will go up in the future but much slower than originally anticipated.  Bottom line is keep on enjoying your low low interest rate.

If you are looking for a fixed rate mortgage the rates have actually come down lately so there are some very low rates just above 4%.

The housing sales have slowed down considerably and there are some very very good deal out there.  If you are thinking about buying now is a very good time.

I am always here to help you go over your options or to assess your current mortgage.  Please feel free to call or email anytime for a consultation.

Enjoy the summer!

"Myshsael set out in her working life with a view toward becoming a fashion designer. A stop along the way gave her the opportunity to work with special needs children where her one-on-one work with some special young adults gave her a glimpse into a world few ever see. It was only after the birth of her first child in the early nineties that Myshsael choose the camera as her medium. Myshsael has never been afraid to stop everything to hold the beauty that she sees in the most unexpected places. She lives in light and moment and the camera is simply her capture device.

Quite simply, Myshsael sees in others the beauty that they have overlooked in themselves. That is what she photographs."
